On a global level, there are over 40 million victims of human trafficking who generate over $150 billion in profits for their traffickers on an annual basis. The National Human Trafficking Hotline reports that trafficking is happening in all 50 states; it is in every one of our backyards. When it comes to s*x trafficking, Polaris reports that victims may be forced to have s*x up to 20 times a day (i.e., r***d up to 20 times a day).
