Dec' The Walls Annual Holiday Event to support the Portland Firefighters Children’s Burn Foundation

This event represents Portland Firefighters Children’s Burn Foundation which is a non-profit, public charity that raises money through grants, donations and events. The foundation operates strictly on a volunteer basis with no salaried positions so that all funds raised benefit the foundation. The Portland Firefighters Children’s Burn Foundation assists with a wide range of fire related needs such

as:
Outreach education and serving as a resource for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and fire departments that support burn survivors. Arrange for a child’s transport locations where they can get the care they need such as The Shriner’s Burn Unit in Boston. Financially assists families needing to stay near their critically injured child and to cover costs associated with rehabilitation that may not be covered by insurance companies such as pressure garments. Pays for local youth to attend a summer burn camp in Connecticut and hosts dozens of children each year at their own Fire and Ice Winter Burn Camp here in Maine.

Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary and our final Dec’ The Walls supporting Portland Firefighters Children's Burn Foundation! The houses are ready for you. We would love to see our family, friends and supporters, so please come by- raffle, food, drinks and merriment will all be plentiful!

A few reminders:
- Bring a box/ bag to carry your house home- the cake rounds are 12 inches.
- Leave time for parking!
- 2:00, 4:00, 6:00 PM sessions. Please be mindful of your time.

The crew was busy in the kitchen baking last night! We made over 800 pieces of gingerbread for our houses next week. We had help from a new elf, Tony from Sullivan House Bakery and his sheeter machine. We are so thankful for all the ways Sullivan’s supports us- especially their kitchen! We also couldn’t do it without Maureen Fitzgerald Terry and her master baking skills!
