Today, this amazing human, Sierra, and I, celebrate one year since we started this beautiful relationship together! Definitely a single year that feels like so many!

From meeting at Love Burn ❤️‍🔥 last year in Miami, going on our first date the end of February in Portland flying over the gorgeous Gorge, to a summer of falling in love 💕, traveling to Oaxaca, numerous Burns, having my have licked hundreds of times, flying 🪽 us over mountains and beaches, getting Cowfitted 🐄 up, getting fancy on New Years, diving together for the first time in our first new country for us both in the Dominican Republic, to sharing so many laughs with friends and family. It's been an utterly ridiculous journey, and I couldn't be more thankful of Sierra for joining me on this epic adventure around the sun ☀️😎.

I'm excited to celebrate you and me today, sweetie pie 🥧!

Cruise has been a good time. Ensañada tomorrow. Long Beach and then Portland on Sunday.

Sierra and I are taking my parents on a birthday 🎈 cruise to Mexico from Long Beach ⛱️. Mar 23-29.

It'll be their first time leaving the USA!

It's wild that it'll be their first as last month, Sierra I went to a new country for both of us together, Dominican Republic, and that was my 51st country and Sierra's 12th!

I'm so happy to be gifting them this first voyage for them!

After 11 years and 5 months since my private, I earned my IFR rating for my private pilot license 🪽!!!

I have been flying VFR flights since I earned my private pilot license on 10/18/2014. It's been amazing!

However, I had an opportunity I couldn't pass up to continue my education and begin working on my IFR rating almost ten years later on 10/1/2024.

It was a lot of work to get back into the mode to study after all these years. I'm happy to say, all the work finally paid off!

I did it!

Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way!!!

Now into my Commercial and then my Commercial Flight Instructor licenses!

Here's to fifteen years and six months of legally getting high!

Now to finally take a moment and breathe!

If all goes well, tomorrow afternoon I fly out to Nicaragua, I will be a certified IFR rated pilot!

Since October '24, I started up flight training again to earn my IFR rating (I'll be able to fly through the clouds) and it hasn't been easy!

It took longer than I expected, however, my instructor and I think that I've crammed enough knowledge into my brain 🧠 for me to complete this tomorrow morning–let's hope that's the case!

I began flying on August 30th, 2010. Earned my Private Pilot 🪽 license at on October 18th, 2014. I've flown hundreds of folks these last ten years before beginning my IFR training, and it has been amazing!

The time has come for me to get this next rating and continue to climb up high towards my flying 🪽 goals!

Please send a lot of positive energy in the direction of the Troutdale Airport tomorrow morning!
