Bringing common sense to conservation!

Huge shoutout to "S.O.B.R." Save our Boating Rights for advocating and representing every boater in Volusia, Lake and Marion County by taking a stance against the over reaching proposals by the U.S. Forestry & FWC.
Proposals were on the table to remove boating access to certain spring runs (Silver Glen Spring Run) and navigatable waterways. Now, SB1388 The Boater Freedom Act passed both chambers and is on the desk of Governor Ron Desantis awaiting his signature.

This could not have been achieved without the leadership of Volusia County Council, Lake and Marion Counties, Senators Tom Leek and Tom Wright, and State Representatives Tramont, Barnaby, and Gentry!

This is proof that reasonable use of our resources, environmental protection, and conservation is possible with a little bit of common sense.

Great Job by ALL!
