The Wonders of Tea Tree Oil – 20 Amazing Uses

The Aborigines of Australia are believed to have used the leaves of Tea Tree (Malaleuca Tree) for healing and medical uses for centuries.

The Aborigines would crush the Tea Tree leaves and inhale the oil vapour to treat colds and coughs, they would also sprinkle crushed tea tree leaves onto their wounds and sores.

For thousands of years Tea Tree has been effective in treating a wide range ailments.

Here’s 20 reasons why you should use it too!!!

1. Abrasions and Minor Cuts: After cleaning the abrasion or minor cut well, apply a drop or two of Tea Tree Oil directly.

2. Acne and Pimples: Apply a small amount of Tea Tree Oil directly on the acne or pimple break out area.

3. Arthritis: To help reduce the pain and swelling associated with arthritis add 20 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 2oz of Sweet Almond or other carrier oil. Massage into the affected area 2 -3 times per day.

4. Breath Freshener and Mouthwash: Add 1 drop of Tea Tree Oil to 1oz of water, rinse. Do Not Swallow.

5. Cold Sores: Apply a drop or two of Tea Tree Oil directly onto the sore with a cotton swab. Apply 2 – 3 times per day.

6. Dandruff: Add 20 – 30 drops of Tea Tree Oil to your regular shampoo.

7. Flea and Mosquito Bites: Apply a drop of Tea Tree Oil directly onto the bite.

8. Head Lice: Add 15 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 2tbsp shampoo, massage into hair and scalp. Leave for 10 minutes, rinse and repeat 2 – 3 times per day until head lice and eggs are gone.

9. Insect Repellent: Add 15 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 32oz water into a spray bottle, shake well and use as an effective insect repellent.

10. Mold and Mildew Remover: Add 2 teaspoons of Tea Tree Oil to 2 cups of water and mix into a spray bottle. Shake well and spray directly onto the mold and mildew.

11. Nail Infection and Fungus: Apply 1 – 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil directly to the nail and area surrounding. Allow to dry completely. Repeat morning and night.

12. Pest Control: Ants and other household pests dislike Tea Tree Oil. So applying a couple drops at entry points (Doors, windows etc.) will help deter them from entering. Wipe cupboards with Tea Tree Oil and water solution to help keep pests away.

13. Psoriasis: Add 10 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 1tbsp of your favourite carrier oil (sweet almond, grape seed etc.) and massage into the affected area. Repeat 2 – 3 times per days. Can also be applied undiluted.

14. Sore Muscles: Fill your bathtub with warm water and add a couple drops of Tea Tree Oil to the water to help relax tight muscles.

15. Sore Throat: Add 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil to 1 cup of warm water with a pinch of salt. Gargle. Repeat 2 – 3 times per day. Do Not Swallow.

16. Sunburn: Mix 1 drop of Tea Tree Oil with 1tbsp of coconut oil and gently apply to the sun burnt areas.

17. Ticks: Apply 1 drop of Tea Tree Oil directly onto the tick and surrounding area.

18. Toenail infection and fungus: Apply 1 – 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil directly and rub the affected toenail, underneath the tip of the nail and surrounding area. Apply once per day, preferably at night.

19. Toothbrush Cleaner: Apply 1 drop of Tea Tree Oil directly to the toothbrush 1 – 2 times per week to kill bacteria.

Cleaning with AOE Eucalyptus Oil:

When it comes to using and cleaning with Eucalyptus Oil not all oils are created equal, you will want to ensure you use pure grade Australian Outback Essentials Eucalyptus Oil as it is certified organic and is as pure and potent as you can possibly get.

Below are some of our favourite all natural cleaning tips and tricks to help make your clothes & home bright, fresh and clean. You will also need buckets, rags, microfiber clothes, scrubbing brushes and rubber gloves.

**Always patch test surface or material before cleaning with
Eucalyptus Oil**

• Eucalyptus Oil is great to use straight out of the bottle with a soft cloth to remove and dissolve just about anything greasy, sticky or for any stains (e.g. sticker residue, sticky tape, pen and paints, chewing gum, candle wax, grease and oil stains) off glass, carpet, clothes, walls and floors.

• A little Eucalyptus Oil will effectively remove grease stains from the garage floor, a stiff brush, some old rags and Eucalyptus oil will get the job done.

• To get clothes clean from greasy, grimy stains, first soak them in a bucket of hot water with a capful of Eucalyptus Oil and laundry powder. For stubborn stains, apply some Eucalyptus Oil with a bit of washing powder straight onto the stain and scrub, then soak.

• Eucalyptus oil can be used on a cloth to clean and remove soap scum from bathroom tiles and sinks and to leave them looking and smelling fresh and clean. Eucalyptus Oil is also great to remove oil and grease off kitchen range-hoods and remove old labels off food jars.

• Eucalyptus Oil is great, natural way for deterring many insects from entering your house. Sprinkle a few drops at entrance points and in the corners of your home to repel cockroaches, spiders, moths, silverfish etc.

• Deodorize and Disinfect your home while making it smell like a Eucalyptus Forest, by simply sprinkling a drop or two wherever you may need some extra freshness; e.g. on the underside of your kitchen bin, in the toilet bowl etc.

• Eucalyptus Oil can be used to wash hard wood and tile floors, use two capfuls of Eucalyptus oil in very hot water.

Frustrated with outbreaks? You have invested in expensive cleansers, moisturizers and even a treatment to keep your skin clean but still not working?
Maybe the answer is "it's time to clean & disinfect your makeup brushes".

With each use, your makeup brushes pick up makeup but also body oils, dead skin, airborne dust and dirt. They need to be cleaned regularly and disinfected to keep them away from bacteria. Otherwise your brushes can cause skin problems and their life expectancy would be decreased.

So here is how to clean AND disinfect your brushes:

1. Wet the bristles in running lukewarm water.
2. Fill your sink or small bowl (depending on how many brushes you need to clean) with a couple of inches of warm water and mix with a cap full of baby shampoo and 3-4 drops of Australian Outback Essentials Tea Tree Oil. It's a natural disinfectant without harmful chemicals or additives. Your makeup brushes deserve the same treatment as your hair - Would you shampoo your hair with some kinds of chemical? Of course not. What's more, they are for your face!
3. Dip the brush head in the solution and gently massage the bristles between your fingers. (Or you can squeeze a tiny amount of baby shampoo mixed with Tea Tree Oil on your palm and work on it.)
4. Rinse the bristles in warm running water. Repeat steps # 3 & 4 until the water runs clear.
5. Gently squeeze the excess water out of the brush. Reshape the bristles and lay them on paper towels to air dry.
6. Repeat the processes once a week to keep your brushes skin safe.

In between the full cleansing, how to spot clean your brushes:
1. Fill a spray bottle with one part Australian Outback Essentials Tea Tree Oil to five parts alcohol (a 1:5 ratio). The Tea Tree Oil prevents the alcohol from drying out the brushes and is anti-bacterial.
2. Shake the bottle to mix.
3. Spray the mixture onto a clean paper towel.
4. Gently wipe your brushes clean.
5. Dry completely before using.

Discover how emu oil is a versatile and effective solution for inflammation, bruising, burns, muscle pain, hair loss and much more. It’s 100% natural, non-toxic and gentle on all skin types.

Unlike other oils, Emu oil is totally void of phospholipids, just like human skin is also lacking phospholipids. When you’ve used oil-based products containing phospholipids, the skin naturally attempts to block pe*******on. This barrier leaves the lotion or cream on top of the skin surface. Because emu oil has no phospholipids, the skin allows it to pe*****te and enter much deeper and faster. This deep pe*******on allows superior skin moisturizing and more effective delivery of healing properties of medications, and helps pain relievers to thoroughly reach muscles and joints.

When combined with pain relieving ingredients, such as menthol, Emu oil’s deep pe*******on allows it to go directly to the muscles and joints and contributes to a reduction in:
• Inflammation
• Joint pain
• Stiffness
• Bruising
• Muscle pain

Emu Oil also contains:
• Vitamin A, a known skin repairer and antioxidant
• Linoleic acid, which helps to ease muscle aches and joint pain
• Oleic acid, a proven skin cell regenerator and anti-wrinkle agent
• Sapogens, proven skin softeners
• Terpines, known antiseptics
• Vitamin E, a major antioxidant and healing agent

Emu Oil Moisturizing Properties Can:
• Smooth and condition rough elbows, knees and heels
• Soften and moisturize hands and cuticles
• Reduce the itching and flakiness associated with dry skin
• Protect the face and hands from wind and weather
