Playa del Rey Motordrome, Fastest Track in the World circa 1913

This video about a search and tour of the Peterson Museum vault has a brief mention of a track which sounds similar to the Playa Del Rey track.

It was in Beverly Hills next to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. 1 1/4 mile track. Only 10 second mention, but will research. and update the post. Mentions 1921 as date.

The Peterson Auto Museum is no joke! They house some of the rarest cars in the world. From the real hero car from Back to the Future dmc delorean, Tim Burton...

The entire “Playa del Rey Archives” page has been ZIPped, downloaded, and republished (in downloadable ZIP form) in The Internet Archive. The ZIP file includes all photographs, comments, metadata, HTML and videos since that page's inception.

If anyone cares, the Wikipedia page on the Playa del Rey Motordrome is hopelessly confused with what they call the Los Angeles Motordrome. There *was* no Los Angeles Motordrome, only the Los Angeles Speedway. Wikipedia is editable - anyone can make changes. Maybe someone can go fix it.
