Meet Captain Brian Eickel, one of the experienced captains behind the helm at Little Traverse Bay Ferry Co.

Captain Brian, whose hometown is Bay City, MI, started sailing on Saginaw Bay at just 10 years old and has spent decades on the water ever since. A licensed U.S. Coast Guard 200-Ton Master Captain, he serves aboard several passenger vessels throughout Michigan and is an active sailor and racer on the Great Lakes.

When Captain Brian is at the wheel, you’re cruising with someone whose lifelong passion for the water spans more than 50 years.

You’ll most often find Captain Brian at the helm of the Harbor Princess on one of our well loved sunset cruises. Come aboard, enjoy the view, and be sure to say hello!

When a fellow boat company needs a hand, Northern Michigan shows up! June 5-17 the Harbor Princess will be joining forces with Discovery Cruises in Traverse City to keep guests cruising while their vessel undergoes repairs.

Petoskey sunset cruises resume June 20. The Ferry will run its regular schedule.

🚢 Harbor Princess Heads to Traverse City!

Some of you may have seen the news that the Harbor Princess has been invited to Traverse City to temporarily fill in for the Discovery Cruises vessel from June 4–19.

We're excited for the opportunity to introduce the Harbor Princess to a new audience and showcase one of Northern Michigan's favorite passenger vessels.

But don't worry—Little Traverse Bay Ferry service continues as scheduled while the Harbor Princess is away. You can still catch a sunset over Little Traverse Bay from the ferry, travel between Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Bay Harbor, and enjoy everything the bay has to offer.

And most importantly, the Harbor Princess will be back in time for all of your favorite summer events, including:
