Thank you for the care, patience, and dedication you show each day. Whether you’re greeting students with a smile, offering words of encouragement, or ensuring they arrive safely to and from school, you make a difference in the lives of countless children.

We are grateful for everything you do for your own families and for the school family you help care for each day.

Well, that’s a wrap, folks! Today marked not only the last day of school, but also the final day of the City of Pekin Bus Department.

To our incredible drivers and monitors — thank you for the countless early mornings, late afternoons, smiles, patience, and care you’ve given to the students and families of the Pekin community over the years. Whether you served for decades or just a few short years, your dedication made a difference every single day.

You did so much more than transport students safely to and from school. You made kids feel welcomed, seen, supported, and cared for. You were often the first smile they saw in the morning and the last reassuring face they saw before heading home.

Thank you for the relationships you built, the challenges you handled with grace, and the genuine care you showed our students each and every day. Your impact will not be forgotten, and the City of Pekin is better because of your service.

Wishing all of you the very best in whatever comes next. Thank you for everything.
