Gang refueling a KC-135 Super Tanker somewhere over the North Atlantic. We left Enid AFB, Oklahoma, destination RAF Alconbury, England as a squadron of F-105 Thunder chiefs. First rule, make sure you p*e every chance you get. Second, take a lot of music with you to fill the dozen hours of flight, especially at night when all you have is stars on black velvet forever. A side-benny of a photo mission like this was, I got to take the stick every now and then scare myself. Loved it all and miss it dearly.(C)
