Well, we’ve got an interesting story for you this afternoon from the road! 🚛🐦
One of our drivers, Beau, came in today with what we’ll call a small “battle wound.” His truck is currently having some A/C issues, so like any smart driver trying to survive the Texas heat, he rolled the windows down for a little airflow.
Unfortunately, an unlucky little bird had other plans.
Somehow, the bird got caught in the wind and flew straight into the cab of Beau’s truck, causing a full-on mid-drive feathered panic. After a few scratches to the face and what I’m sure felt like the longest few minutes of his life, Beau managed to safely catch the bird and set it free.
We hear a lot of wild stories from our drivers out on the road, but this one definitely takes the cake! Beau is perfectly fine—just a few scratches and now a hilarious story to tell.
As for the bird, we’re pretty sure it left with a lifetime of trauma but is safely back to enjoying his little bird life, outside of a semi truck.
Moral of the story: beware of stray birds when you’ve got the windows down, folks! 😂
