Jim bought a Jeep Wrangler in 1991 and never really stopped.

A Defender came next, then a Range Rover, and thirty years later it’s a fleet: a 1971 Bronco, a wood-panelled Grand Wagoneer, two Defender 90s — one yellow, one black — a G550 and a Range Rover Sport.

They’ve worked fashion editorials, brand activations, commercials across New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, maternity shoots, and families picking out a Christmas tree with the Wagoneer loaded up.

He brings the props too. Canoes, Schwinn bikes, camping gear, all of it his and all of it bookable. And he stays on set, call to wrap.

“What I love most isn’t just driving these cars — it’s seeing how each one becomes a character in someone else’s story.”

Thirty years in, he’s still adding to it.

Sunburst Yellow, and three years of someone’s life. “I bought this as a rolling chassis from Port Elizabeth and spent about three years building it,” says Kamiel, who finished most of it during lockdown. The car came to him red. He put it back to the colour Mazda meant it to wear. The 13B rotary runs a single turbo now, making around 400hp by his numbers. Magnum drove a 1981 308 GTSi. Seasons two through six, same year, same model, same Rosso Corsa red. 🇮🇹 The GTSi is the fuel-injected one, which is the bit most people miss — the earlier 308 ran carburettors. Route 66 turns 100 this year, and there's a new documentary telling the story of the towns, the people and the road itself. Route 66: The Main Street of America is currently on a roadshow across New Mexico, Arizona and California.

His 1965 Shelby GT350 tribute took years to get right, and almost every part of it is to original spec.
