Shiloh is a 2-year-old male weighing 68 pounds, he didn’t come from a kind or easy past. But what matters most now is that he’s here—still hopeful, still trying, and still open to learning that life can be different. 💔

Even with everything he’s been through, Shiloh is in that young, in-between stage where he still has so much room to grow into the dog he was always meant to be. At just 2 years old, he’s past the fragile puppy stage but still very much shaped by patience, structure, and the right kind of care.

Dogs with difficult beginnings often show resilience in quiet ways, and Shiloh is no exception. He doesn’t need perfection—he needs consistency, kindness, and someone willing to let him build trust at his own pace. Once he feels safe, that’s where real personality starts to come through. 🤞🏻

Gypsy is a 3-year, 5-month-old German Shepherd German Shepherd weighing 57 pounds, and she’s the kind of dog who brings energy, heart, and loyalty into every room she walks into. 🥰

True to her breed, Gypsy is full of life and incredibly people-focused. German Shepherds are known for being intelligent, driven, and deeply devoted to their families, often forming strong bonds and wanting to stay close to their person. They thrive when they have structure, engagement, and a sense of purpose—and Gypsy already shows that classic spark. ⚡️

She is great with kids, but she is not good with cats, so a cat-free home will be the best fit for her. She has not yet been dog tested, so any introductions to other dogs would need to be done slowly and thoughtfully. ‼️

Holly is a gorgeous black Pit Bull/Labrador mix who is searching for her forever home! She is 4 years old and weighs 43 pounds, making her a perfect medium-sized companion. 🎉

Holly is reported to be good with cats, which is a big plus for someone with feline friends in their household. However, Holly would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. ❤️

One of Holly’s best qualities is how nicely she walks on a leash. She’s easy to handle once you’re out for a walk! She does get a little excited when it’s time to put the leash on and may nip at it while you’re getting ready, but this is something that can easily improve with time, patience, and consistency. Being out of the shelter environment and in a calm home will help her tremendously. 🐶

Holly may also be overlooked because of something called “black dog syndrome.” Sadly, black dogs are often adopted less frequently simply because they’re harder to photograph or people pass them by in the kennel. But once you meet Holly, you’ll see she shines just as bright as any other pup. 🖤✨

Clack is a 2-year, 4-month-old male weighing 41 pounds, and he’s still waiting for his life to really begin. 🐾

He’s the kind of dog who should be in his prime right now—running, playing, settling into routines, and bonding deeply with his people. Instead, he’s stuck in a place where every day looks the same, hoping someone will finally see him and say “you’re coming home with me.”❤️

Clack is said to be good with other dogs. At 41 pounds, he’s a nice in-between size—big enough for adventure, small enough to curl up beside you at the end of the day. You can sponsor the adoption fee of an animal in need. Sponsoring helps make it easier for them to find a forever home. You can choose to cover the full amount or even make a partial sponsorship — every bit helps! 🎉

Here’s how you can get involved:
🐶 Stop by during our open hours, take a walk through, and pick out an animal you’d like to sponsor!
🐱 Can’t make it in person? No problem! Visit ITV’s website and look for animals at the Daviess County location. Choose your furry friend, then call or email our office to pay their adoption fee.

Meet Jaxx, a handsome boy full of love and personality. He was previously adopted from Daviess County Animal Care and Control but has unfortunately found his way back, and now he’s hoping his next home will be his forever one.

Jaxx is a 4-year-old Pit mix who thrives with structure, consistency, and regular exercise. He’s a smart, energetic guy who does best when he has clear expectations and a routine that keeps both his body and mind engaged. With the right guidance, Jaxx has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.

At this time, we are unsure how Jaxx does with other dogs or cats, so a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good fit. He keeps his kennel very clean so he is believed to be potty trained! He also knows sit and paw. His adoption fee is $200.

Update- 6/16/26: Foster Found

Poe is a Poodle mix who recently came to us as a stray, so we are still getting to know all the details about him, including his estimated age and how he does with kids, cats, and other dogs. What we do already know is that he has a really sweet, easygoing personality and a lot of potential just waiting to shine through. ✨

Underneath all that coat is a very handsome boy who is definitely going to turn heads once he gets a good grooming session and a fresh start. Right now he’s rocking a very “scruffy but lovable” look, but we can already tell he’s going to clean up beautifully. 🥰

Poe has been doing great with leash walking—he’s easy on the leash and enjoys getting out and about. He also keeps a clean kennel so we believe he’s potty trained, which is a huge plus and shows he likely had a home at some point before ending up as a stray.

He’s playful, curious, and seems eager to connect with people. As we continue to learn more about him, he is available for foster or foster-to-adopt so he can begin settling into a home environment while we complete his vetting and evaluations. 🐾

Update- ADOPTED❤️🐾‼️

🐾🖤 Senior Sunday: Meet Spooky 🖤🐾

At 12 years old, Spooky should be spending her days curled up in a sunny window, enjoying soft blankets and the comfort of a loving home. Instead, she found herself at the shelter after her owner passed away.

Spooky is a beautiful senior kitty with plenty of love left to give. She is front declawed and, as many declawed cats experience as they age, we were told she may have some arthritis-related discomfort. Because of this, she deserves a quiet, comfortable home where she can relax and be cherished during her golden years.

The good news? Spooky's adoption fee has been completely waived! Her adopter will only need to pay the $15 microchip registration fee.

Senior pets are often overlooked, but they make some of the most wonderful companions. They ask for so little and give so much in return. Spooky has already experienced the loss of the person she loved most. Now she needs someone willing to open their heart and give her a second chance.

Can we make Spooky's wish come true and find her a home when we reopen to the public on Tuesday? 🖤
