Everyone wants Italy in summer 🇮🇹
We get why — but let’s talk about it.

As advisors, we sometimes assume this is common knowledge. It’s not. So many people book summer in Italy simply because “that’s when everyone goes” — not because it’s actually the best time for them.

Summer in Italy means real heat, packed piazzas, and the popular spots losing their charm under the crowds.

Summer does work if you’re after the coast and plan to swim a lot. The heat is the point there, and you’re built around beach days, not long walking tours.

If summer’s your only window because of school schedules — that’s real, and we plan around it differently.

But probably every travel advisor will recommend going in May, September or early October. You still get warm weather, restaurants and attractions are open, the sea is usually warm enough for swimming (especially in September), and you’ll generally encounter fewer crowds and lower prices than in peak summer.

So if you have flexibility, we’ll always tell you: there’s a better time to fall in love with Italy!

Throwback to our time at Laguna Beach. Such an incredible domestic destination, and we’re excited for our clients going there in August to experience its beauty and vibrant art life.
If you are into crafts, this is a place to be in the end of summer during their Festival of Arts. This is also a great destination for whale and dolphin watching. And if you are into wine, local wineries tours are less than an hour away 🍷
And don’t forget the hiking potential of California!
