𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆!

One of my favorite travel tips has nothing to do with ride strategies or dining reservations.

Some of my family's favorite vacation memories have come from the simplest moments - a quick breakfast on a hotel balcony, pizza by the pool after a long park day, or packing snacks for an afternoon at the beach.

One of the reasons we love staying in the Family Suites at Cabana Bay Beach Resort is that they make those little moments easy. We have a larger refrigerator, plenty of space to store snacks and drinks, and the cute little breakfast bar is the perfect place to start the day with a quick, simple breakfast before heading to the parks.

Vacations don't have to be scheduled every minute to be memorable. Sometimes slowing down for a meal together ends up being one of the moments you remember most.

When we travel, I almost always plan for at least one "picnic moment."

Halloween Horror Nights 35 just got even more exciting!

Universal has officially announced a 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝟱 haunted house, where guests will join the Hawkins crew for one final battle against Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, and Vecna.

So far, Universal has announced:
Sinners 🩸
Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos and Control 🎪
Stranger Things 5 🧇

That means we still have 𝟳 𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹!

As for me? The countdown is officially on. Scott and I will be at Halloween Horror Nights during the first week of September, experiencing our very first 𝗥.𝗜.𝗣. 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿,
and I can't wait to see what else Universal has in store this year.

Is it too early to start planning a 2027 vacation?

Maybe not.

One of my favorite travel planning strategies is starting early, especially when new vacation packages are released. It gives families the opportunity to secure the resort they really want and start looking forward to their trip.

Another thing many people don't realize is that a lot of vacation packages can be updated if a new promotion comes out or pricing changes before final payment. That means you may be able to plan ahead while still keeping some flexibility.

I've already started putting together 2027 vacations for clients (and for my own family!), and I'm still keeping an eye on pricing for many of the trips I've already booked this year.

Sometimes the best travel strategy isn't waiting for the perfect moment - it's giving yourself options.

One of my favorite Epic Universe planning tips is to stay until park close.

I tell all of my clients the same thing: don't rush for the exits after dinner. The crowds usually start to thin out in the evening, Celestial Park is absolutely beautiful after dark, and until now, guests could enjoy a fountain show to end the night.

Well... Universal just announced that beginning July 7, 2026, that nighttime experience is getting a major upgrade with a brand-new spectacular featuring fireworks, dancing fountains, lights, and music inspired by all five worlds of the park.

The original fountain show was already worth staying for, but this one sounds like it's going to blow it out of the water!

If you're planning an Epic Universe vacation, I would definitely save a little extra energy for the end of the day. I have a feeling this is going to become one of those must-see experiences.

Travel Advisor Confession:

I don't just start planning my next vacation before the current one is over...

Sometimes I've booked it before I even get home.

The first time I went to Universal Fan Fest Nights, I knew before the event was even over that I had to bring my son back to experience it. Somewhere between the attractions and the atmosphere, I had already made up my mind.

By the time I was on the flight home, I had flights and a hotel booked for our next trip.

I may or may not have done that before asking my husband if he was on board. 🤣

I guess that's one of the hazards of being a travel advisor. Half the fun is dreaming about the next adventure, and sometimes you just know a trip is going to become a family memory worth repeating.

This week I somehow found myself comparing three different cruise ships... and it all started because of soda. 🤣

My family is booked on our very first cruise, and I started wondering if there was something even better out there. So I did what I do for my clients - I researched.

Not just prices and itineraries.

I compared activities for an 11-year-old, arcades, private islands, waterparks, drink packages, and yes... even which kinds of soda each ship serves (because Mountain Dew loyalty is a serious matter in this house).

After all that, we decided to stick with the cruise we already booked.

Not because it was the biggest or newest ship, but because it was the best fit for our family, our budget, and the memories we want to make together.

That's also how I plan trips for my clients.

The "best" vacation isn't always the most expensive one. It's the one that fits your family's personalities, priorities, and all those little details that make a trip feel just right.

Because sometimes the deciding factor is a kids club or a waterpark...

I was putting together a Universal itinerary this week, and it reminded me that this is one of the most overlooked perks at Universal Orlando Resort.
