🎄 HEADING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD IN NOVEMBER? HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT! 🏰✨
November at Disney can feel COMPLETELY different depending on when you go.
Early November? Food & W**e is still going strong.
Mid-November? Christmas takes over.
Thanksgiving week? Whole different crowd game. 😂
Your exact dates matter.
🎅 MICKEY’S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY
November party nights:
Nov. 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27 & 29
On party nights, Magic Kingdom closes early to regular guests.
And that can actually create a smart crowd strategy.
A lot of guests avoid MK because they want a full day and nighttime entertainment, which can make some party days surprisingly light.
Right now, Mickey Alerts has Nov. 20 and 27 projected at just 1/10 at Magic Kingdom, while several non-party dates are around 9/10.
That does NOT mean everyone should choose the 1/10 day.
If Happily Ever After matters, a non-party night may still be worth it.
But if you have Park Hopper, an Annual Pass, are attending the party, or don’t care about staying late? A party day can be a VERY strategic move.
🎄 CHRISTMAS SEASON
Disney’s holiday season officially begins Nov. 13.
Earlier in the month, you still have EPCOT Food & W**e.
Later in the month, Disney is fully in Christmas mode with décor, seasonal entertainment, festive food and holiday events.
🎬 JOLLYWOOD NIGHTS
November dates:
Nov. 7, 14, 16, 21, 23 & 28
This separately ticketed event also affects Hollywood Studios park hours, so I would absolutely check your actual dates before choosing HS based on a generic day-of-week rule.
📊 NOVEMBER CROWD STRATEGY
🏰 Magic Kingdom:
Big swings between party and non-party dates. This is one park where moving your visit by ONE day can make a huge difference.
🌐 EPCOT:
Food & W**e runs through Nov. 21, then Festival of the Holidays begins Nov. 27.
Ride waits and how crowded World Showcase FEELS are not always the same thing.
🎬 Hollywood Studios:
Also has big date-to-date swings, especially once Jollywood Nights is added into the mix.
🌳 Animal Kingdom:
Looking steadier overall and can be a great park to use strategically when the others are being affected by parties and events.
🌡️ WEATHER
November usually means warm days with cooler mornings and evenings.
PACK LAYERS.
Bring:
✔️ Shorts
✔️ T-shirts
✔️ Sweatshirt/light jacket
✔️ Pants
✔️ Sunscreen
✔️ Ponchos
✔️ Comfortable shoes
Hurricane season technically continues through Nov. 30, so I’d watch the forecast as your trip gets closer—not panic about it weeks ahead.
🚧 CLOSURES + CONSTRUCTION
🎠 Carousel of Progress — currently closed for its major update
🚂 Walt Disney World Railroad — expected to reopen sometime in November
🦖 DinoLand U.S.A. — permanently closed during Tropical Americas construction
🦃 THANKSGIVING WEEK
Thanksgiving is Nov. 26.
If you’re visiting that week, expect heavier crowds and plan for them.
This is NOT the week I’d want to show up and ask:
“So… which park should we do today?” 😂
I’d want to know:
🏰 Park order
⚡ Lightning Lane strategy
🎢 Must-do rides
🍽️ Dining
🎆 Nighttime priorities
😴 Where to build in breaks
Busy Disney strategy is not about magically making crowds disappear.
It’s about using your time well despite them.
🎄 BIGGEST NOVEMBER TIP?
Do NOT think of November as one single crowd season.
Party nights, Food & W**e, Festival of the Holidays, Thanksgiving travel and changing park hours can completely change your strategy.Sometimes moving ONE park day can put your family in a much better situation.
✨ COMMENT PLAN if your trip is already booked and you want help with park days, crowd strategy, Lightning Lanes, dining and your itinerary.
🎄 COMMENT NOVEMBER if you’re thinking about going THIS November and want me to look at what’s still available. It is NOT too late!
