☀️ Going to Disney World in August? Save this post!
August can be an amazing time to visit Disney—if you know what to expect! As a Disney mom and former Cast Member, these are the tips I always share with families before they go.
☀️ Weather
• Expect temperatures around 90–95°F (32–35°C) with high humidity, so it can feel well over 100°F.
• Wear lightweight clothing, stay hydrated, and take advantage of indoor attractions during the hottest part of the day.
⛈️ Afternoon Storms
• Daily thunderstorms are common, usually between 2–5 PM, but they often pass quickly.
• Pack a lightweight poncho and don’t let the forecast scare you—many guests leave, making wait times shorter afterward!
🎃 Halloween Season
• Magic Kingdom starts celebrating Halloween in August with festive decorations and themed treats.
• Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins on select nights and requires a separate event ticket.
🍽️ EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
• The festival kicks off August 27, featuring food booths inspired by countries around the world.
• Don’t miss the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, included with your EPCOT admission.
🎒 Don’t Forget to Pack
• A portable fan, cooling towel, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle are essentials.
• Bring extra socks and a portable charger—you’ll thank yourself later!
✨ My Best Tip
• Stay for the evening! Cooler temperatures, beautiful sunsets, and nighttime rides make August Disney feel extra magical.
