Come Back Strong

Come Back Strong The Strong family was hit hard by flooding after Hurricane Harvey. Find out what you can do to help. Their home is uninsured. They also lost two cars.

By now we are all aware of the devastation Hurricane Harvey has unleashed on Texas Gulf Coast communities. Thousands of families have been effected and the whole country wants to find ways to help. We’d like to share the story of four of those families and provide the opportunity to directly aid their recovery. This page is organized by friends and loved ones of Keri Strong, whose parents, sister,

niece and aunt were forced out of their homes due to the massive flooding Orange, Texas. They lived side-by-side on the same street and helped each other to safely escape the storm. Now we’re here to offer love and support to these families and organize efforts to help them COME BACK STONG.

• Keri’s parents, Sammy and Loretta Strong’s 53rd wedding anniversary came and went during the chaos of the storm. The house they shared all those years in was completely flooded, and at this time we do not know the full extent of the damage. Sammy and Loretta are both retired.

• Keri’s aunt, Fran Strong’s home was also completely flooded. Fran is in her 70’s in poor health, and not currently employed.

• Keri’s sister, Cherie Andrews and her husband Gerald were forced out of their home by the flooding. The damage to the community has put Gerald out of work indefinitely.

• Keri’s niece, Samantha Deets shared her home with husband Billy and their 2 and half year old daughter Gracelyn. Billy’s truck was among their losses. Like the Andrews, the Deets’ have also lost their source of income, unsure of when it will return. Please LIKE and SHARE this page and give others the chance to help these families. There is a You Care link ready to accept cash donations today, and other opportunities to directly help these families are coming soon. The damage Harvey has caused feels overwhelming, but piece by piece we will rebuild and Come Back Strong!

Hey y'all! The first carload of Amazon items is headed to Orange this weekend! Thank you to all who have placed orders. The list has been updated, including some fun stuff for little Gracie (hint: the girl loves horses). Thank you all again!

The houses are still sitting in a few feet of water. It's unclear how long it will take for the water to recede. There are dams upstream that were releasing more water. But hopefully it will improve soon! We will post info about the cleanup as soon as we know something.
Thank you so much for your help so far! We are humbled by your generosity :)

*Full website coming soon also.

Hey y'all, we've created an Amazon wishlist with some of the basics our friends in Orange need. If you prefer giving goods over money (or both?) please click the link and check some things off our list. Thank you!!

Note: We are collecting the wish list items at my house until the Strong's have a better way to receive packages. After you pick your items, please choose the "Gift Registry" address option. Thanks again!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let each of you know how much I appreciate all of the help you have offered. No matter how small, every donation helps. Everything helps and my family is grateful for it. It is extremely hard to see the destruction that has occurred but my family is fortunate in the way that we are all safe. That is what is most important and we realize that. My family is a hard working family that will persevere through this. Through the love of my friends creating this site we are blessed to have the help that is greatly needed to get back on our feet. This will be a long recovery process and just know your help is what will get us through it. We are blessed to have so many people that care and want to help others. Thank you for everything and we are humbled with the generosity.
Love to all of you,
Keri Strong
