Been trying to think of the words all day....
As I drove into Orlando today... especially downtown... I was amazed how my old town showed it's unity. Every business...every building had some form of support on it. And as I came in late to a supporter rally, long after the wackadoo church group left. The ppl who sat there and held vigil outside... we cried when we seen the friends and family emerge. Some took pictures of us, some thanked us, some came and hugged us. Just an out pouring of love all the way around. It was moving.. I hope I paid it forward a bit too... as I was leaving I noticed a beautiful lady sitting alone on the sidewalk crying.... I paused and let some ppl pass. Then asked her if she was alone... she was waiting for her friends to come get her... I couldn't leave her crying by herself... so I plopped down , hugged her... and kept my hand on her back while she waited... we cried together, listened how this affected each of us. Watched the mother hug ppl at the church and the coffin being loaded... and let the tears fall a bit more. Once the dust settled.. I had a friend waiting for me in the parking garage and I had to go... but only after I hugged her again and kissed this beautiful woman who held vigil as a supporter since way earlier in the day on the forehead... it takes nothing but a smile or a little time to show kindness to a stranger.... and takes even less to take a look at the beautiful ppl around you just trying to make it thru this... she in her tears ...made me not feel so alone in the sadness that this whole thing has caused me
