Spring is coming, never too soon to think about spring cleaning.
However, you should try to spring clean as responsibly as possible, this means not just throwing everything in a dumpster.
Yes, this takes a little more time but it really does make a difference when you think about it.
You should divy everything up into 4-6 different piles when you spring clean, the piles are as follows.
1- Donation, this is anything in decent shape that you no longer need. Clothing that’s usable and not stained, furniture without a lot of damage. Kitchen and household items, blankets, books, etc.
2- Freebies, this can be anything for donation but also some stuff that is a little more worse for wear. These can be given to people through FB marketplace, craigslist, freecycle or through FB local free/buy nothing groups. Every town has at least 1 free or buy nothing group, they are great resources. Crafty people look here for stuff to repurpose or refinish etc.
3- Stuff to sell, anything in great condition or antique/rare that you don’t want to have anymore can be sold either on FB marketplace or through consignment shops.
4- Metal, anything metal that you don’t need or want can have value, either to you or someone else can take it to scrap metal for some money. This includes wire, brass, copper pipes, stainless steel, washers, dryers, chairs, tables, ac units, basically anything with any kind of significant metal in it.
5- Recycling, this can be standard paper, cardboard and plastic, but also clothing, linens, towels etc.
6- Actual trash, anything super dirty that can’t be cleaned or stuff broken beyond repair and can’t be repurposed in any way.
All that being said, if you need stuff in any of these categories taken somewhere for you, then I am the guy for that and can help you get things gone.
