Travel Tip Tuesday: summer theme park days can be so much fun β€” but they can go sideways fast if someone gets too hot, too hungry, or too overstimulated. β˜€οΈ

The secret?

Build in intentional breaks BEFORE anyone hits the wall.

Trust me on this one.

Here is what that can actually look like:
✨ Start early if you can β€” hit your priority rides in the morning while energy is high and temps are still manageable
✨ Plan a midday reset β€” head back to the resort, sit down for a long indoor meal, catch a show, or find an air conditioned attraction to hang out in for a bit
✨ Don't wait until everyone is miserable β€” breaks work best when you take them early, not when the meltdown is already happening
✨ Pick one slow moment each day β€” a carousel, a treat break, people watching, an indoor show β€” something that lets everyone breathe
✨ Pack for recovery, not just convenience β€” cooling towels, refillable water bottles, a portable fan, sunscreen, and blister protection can save the whole day

This is one of those tips that parents usually learn the hard way, so save this one before your next summer park day. πŸ’Ύ

Where it started. πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

A river cruise through the South of France in 2024 and honestly β€” this trip changed me.

Not because everything was perfect, but because there is something about stepping into a completely different culture and just… experiencing it.

The people, the food, the views, the pace of life. It stays with you long after you come home.

That trip is a big part of why I do what I do now.

If travel has ever changed you the same way, tell me where it happened. πŸ‘‡

EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is officially on the calendar and honestly, it is one of my favorite reasons to plan a Disney trip in late summer and fall. 🍴✨

If you have never been, it is exactly what it sounds like and so much more.

Food and drink booths from around the world, live entertainment, and a completely different energy than a typical park day.

But here is the thing, a little planning goes a long way with this one.

A few things that can make your experience so much better:

πŸ‘‰ Go in with a game plan. Decide upfront if your priority is booths, rides, or entertainment because trying to do everything in one day gets chaotic fast.
πŸ‘‰ Pace yourself. If you can split EPCOT into two visits, do it. It is a completely different and way more enjoyable experience.
πŸ‘‰ Pick the right travel crew. This festival is absolutely perfect for adult trips, couples, friend groups, and families who love trying new things.

So tell me, have you ever been to EPCOT Food and Wine Festival?

And if you have, what was the one thing you ate or drank that you are still thinking about? πŸ‘‡

If this is the year you want to make it your Disney moment, DM me and I will help you map out a plan that actually fits. πŸ˜„

Disney plans get a whole lot easier when you know what is coming and when. ✨

If a Walt Disney World trip is on your list for 2026, this graphic is worth saving because there is a lot happening and timing your trip around the right openings can make a big difference in your experience.

I will be honest, some of these updates have me really excited for my clients who are already booked and for the ones who are still on the fence about pulling the trigger.

So tell me, what on that list are you most excited about?

πŸ‘‡ And if any of these updates have you thinking "okay maybe it IS time to plan that Disney trip," DM me and let's start putting something together before the good dates are gone.

Travel Tip Tuesday: check your cruise port times before you plan your whole day. 🚒

This is one of those details that seems small until it isn't, and I promise you do not want to learn it the hard way.

Before you book excursions or make any big plans in port, make sure you know:

πŸ‘‰ Arrival AND departure times (some ports are shorter stops than you'd expect)
πŸ‘‰ All-aboard time vs sail-away time (they are not always the same thing)
πŸ‘‰ Ship time vs local time (this one trips people up more than you'd think)
πŸ‘‰ How far you actually are from what you want to do (and realistic transit time, not Google Maps "best case" time)
πŸ‘‰ Buffer time for traffic, lines, and getting back through security

Because the difference between a relaxing port day and a stressful sprint back to the ship is almost always in the planning.

Have you ever had a close call getting back to the ship, or know someone who has?

Tell me about it below πŸ‘‡ and if you're planning a cruise and want help thinking through your port days, that's exactly the kind of thing I love helping with.

You are not bad at planning travel. The process just gets noisy. πŸ˜„

Too many hotel options. Too many opinions. Too many reviews from people who don't travel anything like you do.

And suddenly something that should feel exciting starts feeling like a part time job.
That is honestly one of the biggest reasons people reach out to a travel advisor, and it is one of my favorite problems to solve.

I take all of that scattered information and turn it into something that actually makes sense for YOUR trip, your budget, your priorities, your travel style, and what matters most to you specifically.

No more endless comparing. No more hoping the "deal" is actually a good fit. Just someone in your corner helping you cut through the noise and get to the right answer faster.

So tell me, what is the part of travel planning that feels the most overwhelming to you?

Drop it below πŸ‘‡ because I guarantee you are not the only one who feels that way.

And if you already know where you want to go, or even just know the vibe you are after, send it my way.

I would love to make the planning part feel a whole lot easier.

Travel Tip Tuesday: learn one local etiquette tip before you go. 🌍

You don't have to be a cultural expert to be a respectful traveler.

But taking just 5 minutes to learn one local norm before you arrive can make your trip feel smoother AND help you connect with people in a way that actually feels meaningful.

A few examples of what I mean:

πŸ‘‰ Greetings (handshakes, bows, cheek kisses, it varies more than you'd think)
πŸ‘‰ Shoes on or off in homes and certain spaces
πŸ‘‰ Tipping expectations (or knowing when tipping is actually not expected)
πŸ‘‰ Dress guidelines for religious or cultural sites
πŸ‘‰ Dining basics (sharing plates, pace of meals, noise levels)

The goal isn't perfection. It's just awareness.

And honestly? The travelers who take that extra 5 minutes almost always say it made their trip feel richer and more connected.

Where are you headed next, and have you ever looked up local etiquette before a trip? I'd love to know what surprised you the most πŸ‘‡
