Good morning! As is generally the case, the morning after a storm passes is peaceful and serene. As the sun rises on a new day, we are happy to report that Isaias passed over us last night and left very little impact. We have no major damage, no major water intrusion, just a bunch of tree debris and trash to pick up. We are so very thankful and hope that you and your families fared just as well. Have a great day!

We have been and are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias and the impact that it will have to our area. The Maritime resort team has been actively working through our storm preparedness procedures to secure the resort, both interior and exterior. As the storm continues to fluctuate between a strong tropical storm and a weak hurricane, we are hopeful that the impact will be minimal. Please stay safe wherever you may be and we will post further updates after the storm passes.

City of North Myrtle Beach

To our incoming owners and guests, please be advised of the following City Ordinance which is effective Thursday, July 2 at 12 noon.

CITY PASSES EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REQUIRING FACE- COVERINGS UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES

Effective July 2 at 12:00 p.m., the City of North Myrtle Beach, requires people to wear face-coverings in public under certain circumstances.

(1) All persons entering any retail business, including but not limited to grocery stores and pharmacies, and any business where personal services are dispensed including but not limited to hair and/or nail salons, barbershops, and tattoo parlors must wear a face-covering while inside the establishment. In the event that the face-covering interferes with the personal service provided (example: a haircut) the face-covering may be removed while the personal service is being dispensed. The business shall not have responsibility for enforcing this requirement but shall post conspicuous signage at all entrances informing its patrons of the requirements of this section.

A person who fails to comply with the requirements detailed above shall be guilty of a civil infraction, punishable by a fine of not more than $25.00.

(2) All restaurants; retail establishments including but not limited to grocery stores and pharmacies; businesses providing personal services including but not limited to hair and nail salons, barbershops and tattoo parlors; and all government offices in the City must require their employees to wear a face-covering at all times while having face-to-face interaction with the public.

A person who fails to comply with the requirements detailed above shall be guilty of a civil infraction, punishable by a fine of not more than $100.00. Each day of a continuing violation of the ordinance shall be considered a separate and distinct offense.

(3) The City recommends that all restaurants in North Myrtle Beach participate in the Palmetto Priority program (www.palmettopriority.com) established by the South Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association to provide a clean and safe environment for their staff and customers. This program may provide useful guidance for restaurants and their employees, and adherence to its guidelines may increase existing and potential customers’ trust in a restaurant’s desire to do its part to provide a clean environment.

This emergency ordinance will be enforced by a City code compliance official or law enforcement officer.

EXEMPTIONS FROM THIS ORDINANCE:

Any person who is unable to safely wear a face-covering due to age, an underlying health condition, or is unable to remove the face covering without the assistance of others; any person whose religious beliefs prevent them from wearing a face covering.

“We have a serious COVID-19 problem in South Carolina and Horry County, and North Myrtle Beach is right in the middle of it all,” said North Myrtle Beach Mayor Marilyn Hatley. “This ordinance highlights the fact that we, as a City Council, cannot sit idly by and just let things run their course. Our goal is for everyone to work together so we can overcome this challenge which threatens the health of our residents and visitors, and our economy. We need to work together to protect one another so that we can continue to enjoy all that our community has to offer.”

Incoming Guests & Owners,

We look forward to welcoming you to our resort and to North Myrtle Beach, and we ask that you join us in taking steps to ensure the health and safety of our beautiful community.

Our management company, Capital Vacations, is taking extra precautions to ensure that units and common areas are fully sanitized using the highest grade, CDC-approved cleaners. Furthermore, our resort is practicing physical social distancing, but we need our owners and guests to adhere to common-sense safety practices as well.

Due to limited supply and increased demand, you may find stores in the North Myrtle Beach area have a minimal stock of sanitizer and masks. To do your part in protecting yourself and your family members, as well as our employees and community members, please bring face coverings and hand sanitizers to use throughout your vacation along the Grand Strand. By planning ahead, you will be playing a significant role in helping our beach communities to thrive.

Please remember that you are responsible for the health and safety of yourself and your family members. We ask that you take COVID-19 seriously as you visit with us. If we all work together and each of us does our part, we can slow the spread of the virus while protecting the most vulnerable in our communities.

Thank you,
Your Maritime Beach Club Board of Administration and Management

Capital Vacations: News

Maritime Beach Club Owners,

We hope that you are all staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time in history.

Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, we remain closed to all incoming guests at this time. Please know that this decision was not made easily and was only implemented after local and state officials enacted ordinances closing resorts. Your management company, Capital Vacations, worked in direct tandem with your elected Board of Directors to discuss this closure before the decision was made.

You can read more about the Executive Orders from the South Carolina Governor here: https://governor.sc.gov/executive-branch/executive-orders

Capital Vacations has also built a landing page with the most up-to-date information regarding COVID-19 and resort closures. View that page here: Bit.ly/CV-COVID-19

We will ensure you are notified via email, as well as on your resort website and page as soon as we have any updates on when the resort will reopen to incoming guests.
We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as businesses begin to open again, and in the meantime, please stay safe and healthy.

Welcome to Capital Vacations, the top family vacation destination site.

WHERE ARE THE PARENTS?!?!?.....Kids are pushing and running and standing on chairs!!! Seriously, ENFORCE YOUR RULES PLEASE! Parents take responsibility for YOUR CHILDREN, Teach them how to ACT AND RESPECT that others are here too!!!!
