To show you how ignorant shippers can be. CMC foods in hot springs, ar accused our driver with over 20 years experience of being careless and slamming on the brakes to cause a significant load shift to bend this load bar. Claiming each pallet weighs 2800 pounds and there was 10 pallets on both sides of the load bar. This bar clips into the walls and is rated at 4,000 pounds before it becomes compromised. Mind you this is a load of liquid oil in 5 gallon jugs.
Just to show how ignorant they are plastic containers holding liquid during a load shift collapses and the contents will spill in the trailer. Not to mention if the load was to shift to the degree to compromise the bar. The walls are not rated to restrain 4,000 pounds. Meaning the wall track would be compromised before the bar would be. Yet there was only less then 5 gallons of oil spilled. 2 jugs. Yet they had the brains to tell the broker to put us on the do not haul list. IMO they did us justice

This is exactly what the major carriers are hoping for. To out wait the individual carriers they can afford to dilute the industry with cheap freight as they have working relationships with major carriers and brokers that they say hey let’s make loads cheaper so when you do have to send it to spot the price is what it is. So in essence it’s no difference then what Tyson and jbl meat packers did in southern Missouri a few years ago in relation to chicken prices when Tyson closed a particular plant ands lawsuit came from the individual chicken house operators. And until a major lawsuit to this degree is brought and addressed it will continue

You know it’s a sad sad day in America when a brokerage, allows customers to treat carriers like s**t and then when the Carrier ask for payment the brokerage says we are only offering you $250. When the initial agreement was $400 but because the customer treated the Carrier like s**t. The Carrier chose to return the load to the shipper. And the carrier is supposed to be OK with being treated like crap on both ends. The only other option would be the brokerage tells carrier their services are no longer needed. So they take money from carriers expecting us to do miracles on chump change then when you get customers that try to walk all over carriers instead of checking them they are more scared of the customers taking their business elsewhere. News flash they already are spreading it wide already. Shipper says broker expects carriers to do2 loads a day. It’s not going to happen when it’s 2 hours to the meeting point for an es**rt then 45 minutes to job site oh and the shipper is only open 7 hours a day to load. So how is a carrier supposed to do 2 loads in a day?
