2025 Stoltzfus Family Reunion in the books! We drove 3k miles over the course of a week to get here. Lots of amazing new connections and reconnecting with others. We traced the family lineage, ate endless amounts of Maryland crab, played disc golf, had lots of wonderful conversions and visited the old Stoltzfus Homestead dated back to the 1700s.

Hola amigos! We’re hosting a fundraiser for a shoe and clothing drive for the children and grandparents of Ensenada. Any amount big or small you can give would be much appreciated. Just a few dollars goes a long way down here in Mexico. 🙏🏼
We’re collaborating with Fundacion amazonas de Ensenada to clothe and feed the children and grandparents of Ensenada!

We’re Matt and Britt Stoltzfus. We quit our jobs, stored our memories in a shipping container, and now live on a sailboat! In October 2018 we threw off the bowlines and sailed out the Golden Gate Bridge to begin the adventure of a lifetime. Our home is a 41’ Beneteau 411, whom we affectionately call Malolo.
We spent 6 months cruising Mexico's pacific coast and are currently anchored in Bahia del Sol, El Salvador. We will spend our summer here, along with some inland travel as we wait out the rainy season of Central America.
Our initial plan was to continue down the coast of Central America and turn left into the Caribbean however plans have changed! We are establishing a nonprofit which has us sailing back up the west coast Mexico for 2020. As they say, our plans are written in the sand at low tide.
Check our PredictWind Tracker for our current location.
We hope that you will follow us on our journey via our website, facebook and instagram, to share our crazy adventures with you. Stay tuned for a YouTube Channel in the coming months. There may be a new website for you to check out in the near future related to a nonprofit we are forming. Sailing is all about going where the wind takes us, so stay tuned!
And if y’all have any “must see’s” in any of the ports we plan on visiting, please let us know, we’d love your input!
