A REMINDER - THE ESCAPEES RV CLUB INVITES THE PUBLIC TO AN OPEN DAY AT FRYEBURG FAIRGROUNDS
FRYEBURG - The Escapees RV Club is at the fairgrounds with 1,100 participants and 550 RV’s between them at their annual “Escapade” being held at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds June 14-19. The Escapade features seminars, live entertainment, and community activities for registered campers.
The mission of the Escapees RV Club is to provide education and support to RV travelers across the country. Rob Kernodle, “Escapade” Director, says, “We are a total RV education and support network. For instance, we teach how to boondock (camping without amenities and hookups, often remotely on public lands and in national forests), how to become solar powered, and how to master international camping.”
Kernodle has an invitation for all. “On Tuesday, June 16th, we invite everyone from the community for an open day. Come see what ‘Escapees’ are all about! We’ll have about 40 vendors and a marketplace. Pete’s RV will be the onsite dealer with 50 or more vehicles available for sale. Come on over and meet us and ask questions. Everyone is welcome.”
The organization will also make donations to local food banks during their time in Fryeburg. Kernodle says, “If anyone wants to bring a donation of canned food, we are collecting for our larger donation.”
Fryeburg Fairgrounds will be closed to the public June 8-21 due to this large event.
