CBP Issues Guidance on Section 338 Additional Duties for Certain Canadian Goods
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued new guidance regarding the implementation of Section 338 additional duties on certain goods of Canada following Presidential Proclamations issued on July 20, 2026. For qualifying Canadian-origin products entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after August 22, 2026, importers should follow the applicable Chapter 99 HTSUS reporting requirements under headings 9903.03.12–9903.03.16.
