🤩 WoW 🤩 What an honor to visit the incredible space at and assist so many artists as they begin their year-long residency. 🚛🎨✨
Each year, Silver Art Projects welcomes 24 artists with free studio space, mentorship, stipends, and career support — helping them grow their practice and thrive in NYC. Four artists in every cohort come from backgrounds impacted by the justice system, a commitment we also prioritize at Solidarity. ⛓️💥❤️🔥
This visit was especially meaningful as I introduced my business partner to several justice-impacted artists in the space. Encounters like these are healing for those of us who’ve survived incarceration and now devote ourselves to mentoring and supporting the next generation as they chart a new path. This is what liberation looks like.
