St Patrick’s Day is March 17th!

The first US celebration of St Patrick’s Day was in 1737, the Charitable Irish Society of Boston organized a feast and religious services to honor the patron saint of Ireland and the Irish culture. Today in the US it is typically a very boisterous and festive celebration with shamrocks, leprechauns and Irish culture themed parades and parties. Day Light Savings time starts on Sunday, March 8th!

Daylight Saving Time (DTS) is observed in most of the United States except Arizona and Hawaii and the US overseas territories. DTS was originally implemented as a change in the standard time with the purpose of making better use of daylight and conserving energy. If you are in a DTS zone don't forget to "Spring forward" and set your clocks ahead one hour on March 8th!
