Fatherhood is a club not many are eligible to join. It takes a lifetime of commitment and will test your fortitude each and every day you wear that title. Many are chosen but only a few rise to the occasion so to those that have risen above and gone beyond the call of duty we say thank you.

THE OTHER SIDE
While we give praise to all the fathers who are afforded the opportunity to be in their children’s lives let’s not forget those who have lost or for reasons out of their control aren’t able to be part of their children’s lives. Let’s consider death, estrangement, systematic imbalance, financial burden, intentional deception, alienation, etc to be some of the common factors in preventing the bond of father and child. Not every man who lacks the ability to tell others his child’s last report card grades or talk to how well his child performed at the school play is absent of this information by choice. Life is tough when the weight of the world is on your shoulders with no support. Think about those men before cutting them down. Their Father’s Day might not be so happy.
