If you're considering specialty dining on a Disney Cruise Line sailing, here's what you can expect:
🍷 Adults-Only Experience: Disney's specialty restaurants are exclusively for guests ages 18 and older, making them perfect for a date night or a quieter dining experience away from the family-friendly venues. Dont worry about your children! They can go to the kids club so you can relax and enjoy!
✨ Palo / Palo Steakhouse: Available across the Disney fleet (with Palo Steakhouse on newer ships).
Features upscale Italian cuisine, premium steaks, seafood, and the famous chocolate soufflé.
Offers both dinner and brunch on select sailings.
More relaxed and approachable than Remy or Enchanté.
🇫🇷 Remy (Disney Dream & Fantasy)
Disney's premier French fine-dining experience.
Multi-course tasting menus with optional wine pairings.
Elegant atmosphere inspired by Ratatouille.
Often considered one of the finest dining experiences at sea.
🕯️ Enchanté (Disney Wish, Treasure & Destiny)
Inspired by Lumière from Beauty and the Beast.
Created by Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement.
Features gourmet French-inspired cuisine and exceptional service.
The most upscale dining experience currently offered by Disney Cruise Line.
💰 Additional Cost: Specialty dining is not included in your cruise fare and requires an additional fee. Pricing varies by restaurant and sailing.
📅 Reservations Are Important: These restaurants are extremely popular and often book quickly. Reserve as soon as your booking window opens or check for availability once onboard.
👔 Dress Code: Disney asks guests to dress in a manner consistent with the elegant atmosphere: Dress pants, collared shirts, dresses, dressy tops, and nice footwear are encouraged. (T-shirts, swimwear, athletic wear, and overly casual attire are not permitted.). Palo brunch allows dress shorts.
🍴 You'll Skip Main Dining: If you book specialty dining for dinner, you'll miss your assigned rotational dining restaurant that evening. Many repeat Disney cruisers feel Palo or Remy/Enchanté are worth it, but first-time cruisers may want to consider which rotational dining experience they'll be missing.
💡 Travel Agent Tip: For first-time Disney cruisers, I usually recommend Palo Brunch if available. It is worth it! Guests get to experience all of their rotational dining restaurants at dinner while still enjoying one of Disney Cruise Line's most popular specialty dining experiences.
