It was a busy and rewarding week for the Turn Services team at Inland Marine Expo (IMX) 2026 in Nashville.
On Wednesday, Deckhand Sullivan Benson represented Turn Services in the Maritime Throwdown Finals, earning an impressive 3rd Place finish against some of the industry’s best competitors. We’re proud of the skill, professionalism, and determination he displayed throughout the competition.
On Thursday, our VP of Marketing & PR, Dawn Lopez, joined fellow industry leaders for We Work the Waterways’ workforce development panel, “Navigate Your Path, Build Your Future: Building the Next Generation Maritime Workforce.” The discussion focused on attracting, developing, and retaining the next generation of maritime professionals—a mission that remains critical to the future of our industry.
The week concluded on Friday with a special celebration as our VP of Finance, Mason Bland, and Port Captain Adam Gettys officially received their Inland Marine Expo 40 Under 40 awards. This recognition highlights their leadership, dedication, and contributions to both Turn Services and the inland waterways industry as a whole.
Congratulations to all who represented Turn Services throughout the week. We are proud to see our team making an impact on the river, in the workforce development space, and across the industry.
