What is the difference in Bath Soap Bars and the Artisan Soaps?

Since we started offering many of our soaps in Soap Bars (Bath Bars) in addition to Artisan Soaps, many of you have asked, "What is the difference in the Soap Bars and the Artisan Soaps?" Well honestly, I get lots of delightful messages saying, "It's so beautiful, I could just eat it!" But I don't want you to eat it; I want you to use the soap and experience the exquisite nourishment and hydration of soaps made with premium butters and oils and of how it leaves you feeling all day.

What about the quality of the Bath Bars?

The ingredients and formula for Soap Bars and Artisan Soaps are exactly the same. The only difference is that Artisan Soaps are decorated with embeds, swirls, hand-piped kisses and other enhancements, a very time consuming process. The time saved in not decorating Soap Bars allows us to price the soaps differently.

MY PLEDGE......Since I made my very first soap, my greatest desire has been to create affordable luxury soaps and body care products for you that will nourish the spirit and body and give you great pleasure in using them, and sharing them with your friends and family. 🕯️🕯️🕯️Introducing the Honeycomb Tumbler Candle⁠

Did you know I make awesome, beautiful, wonderful smelling, yummy candles? I now live in Lake Oswego, Oregon and have been here 15 years but home for me is still Memphis, Tennessee. That is where my craft life began, and what a wonderful life and career it has been; first with Sharon's Song, then Southern Harvest and Towne Square Candle Company. Our days at Towne Square Candle started with the heating tanks being turned on at 5:00 am so the wax would be ready to pour by 7:30 am. My beautiful team and I poured hundreds of candles every day, listened to Joyce Meyer every morning and ate lots and lots of popcorn. What wonderful memories. When I moved to Oregon I thought I had left my crafting life behind but that turned out to not be true. I now spend my days discovering the treasure in fabulous oils and exotic butters, shea and cocoa butters, at Beaver Creek Soap (and candle) Company. I've been making artisan soaps for about three years and felt it was time to add candles to the product offering. This is our Honeycomb Tumbler. It's a triple wicked candle with an 80 hour burn. This week I am photographing and adding the Classic Tumbler candle and Jam Jars to the website. Candles are a beautiful gift, not only to Mom, family members, friends and all those you love, but especially to yourself.

What should we name this soap? ⁠

Working with Kaolin Clay and Mermaid Blue Mica from Bramble Berry and Cactus & Sea Salt fragrance. I'm normally not a big fan of blue colors but I love, love, love this blue. It's so spirited and dynamic against the soft cream base color the Kaolin Clay gives the soap. We've use this fragrance in our candles for a long time and it throws beautifully in the burn. The fragrance stays true in the cold process soap, whipped sugar body scrubs and the shea body cream...definitely a winning fragrance. Naming a soap is always challenging for me; I want the name to be inspiring, captivating and worthy. Considering calling this one Seaside but if you are inspired to suggest a name for this beautiful Mermaid Blue soap, please put that in a comment. I would love to hear your thoughts. Sharon

👏👏👏 FIRST ATTEMPT AT CONFETTI SOAP⁠⠀

So much fun making this soap, I could hardly wait to get it out of the mold. Used Pink Brazilian Clay for the base and love the soft, rich, vintage color it brought to the soap. It was made in a 1 pound test mold; a little shorter and wider than the Tall & Slender mold I use for Artisan soaps. I love the fit in my hand of soaps made in the tall & slender mold but I like this size too. If you use both molds, which do you like best and which one do you think your customers prefer? This soap is a test bath so it will not be on our website - will be donated but I'll make more this week in the Tall & Slender mold to see how it looks and feels. Fragrance for this soap was Volcano Capri Blue Type by . We call it Paradise Found.⁠ ⁠⠀

Remember the White Magnolia Cold Process Soap I made a couple of weeks ago that seized before I could get it into the mold? This is Whipped Sugar Scrub made with the same fabulous White Magnolia fragrance, that radiates Spring at the peak of its blossoming glory. It's a floral powerhouse of Magnolia, Peony and Freesia.
