Longwoods Alpaca Farm, LLC Though we no longer raise alpacas, I have plenty of yarn available for knitting, crocheting, and weaving. This is what pays the bills!

I enjoy hand-dying it, finding inspiration in the colors that surround us in our new location on Maine's Midcoast. For 12 years, we had a small farm, and kept a herd of about 20 alpacas. As a certified fiber sorter, Pam understands the value of breeding for uniformity of micron as well as strong conformation, and is happy to answer "how do I. . . .?" questions. Breeding decisions, when made to imp

rove the fiber produced by one's herd, ensures more of it may go into commercial production for later resale at farmers markets and in farm stores.
