On this special day first let’s take a moment of silence….

Next we at Souls of Freedom would like to highlight one of our members who build a bike for days like this…

Some people ride to escape.
Colin “Sling Blade” McCoy rides for something deeper.

Out of Odessa, Missouri, Sling Blade throws a leg over his bike, Lt. Dan, not to run from life — but to find peace in it.

“Honestly Bam Bam I ride not to ride away from my demons but for the clarity and the peace that comes and to ease the pain that my body tells me I have. When I ride I get to feel what it’s like to have no pain and that’s refreshing in itself.”

That right there is what the motorcycle life is really about. Freedom. Brotherhood. Healing. A moment where the noise fades away and the road gives you clarity.

But Sling Blade doesn’t just ride for himself. He takes Lt. Dan to bike shows and car shows across the area helping spread awareness for the fight against veteran su***de and the movement to end “22 a day.” Every mile and every show carries a message: our veterans are not forgotten.

Respect to Sling Blade for turning pain into purpose and using the motorcycle community to bring awareness, support, and brotherhood to those who need it most.

Keep the knees in the breeze, brother. 🏍️🇺🇸

Say Hello to Devin “Lobo” Marshall
Secretary – Cascade 7-1, Washington

Some men ride for fun.
Lobo rides because it’s the only place the world finally shuts the hell up.

After the military—after the structure, the orders, the constant weight—there ain’t much left that feels like yours. But when Lobo throws a leg over that bike, it’s different. Out there, it’s just throttle, wind, and steel. No one telling you where to be, how to move, or what comes next.

Just control.
Pure. Raw. Control.

Every mile is taking something back. Every turn is a reminder—you still own your path.

But this life ain’t meant to be ridden alone.

The brotherhood on two wheels hits different. It’s the same unspoken trust, the same loyalty, the same “I got your six” that never leaves a man who’s worn the uniform. No matter where life takes you, that bond finds you again on the road.

No faking it.
No breaking it.
Just real ones, riding side by side.

Lobo doesn’t ride to escape.
He rides to take it all back.
