Hylton will be competing as a state finalist in the National American Miss 2015 Miss Illinois Princess Pageant to be held on July 31, 2015-August 1, 2015 at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. She is a straight “E” student who loves to read, dance, and perform. She participates in mission trips with her school, and is very involved in her church, Progressive Baptist Church of Chicago. Kennedy loves to
help feed and serve the homeless with her church outreach ministry, “Operation Progressive Cares.” She is an active member of Children’s Church “PBC R.O.C.K.s,” and the youth dance ministry. Kennedy is also involved in ballet and tap classes at Studio One Dance Theater in Chicago, Illinois. She is a vibrant child, with a winning personality, and certainly destined for greatness! The National Miss pageants are held for girls ages 4-18, and have five different age divisions. Kennedy will be participating in the Princess age division along with other outstanding your ladies across the state of Illinois. The winner of the Pageant will receive a $1000 cash reward, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses, and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California where she will receive an exciting complimentary Tour of Hollywood and two V.I.P tickets to Disneyland. The National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating America’s future leaders and equipping them with life-long skills. Each year the pageant nationally awards 1.5 million dollars in cash, scholarships and other prices, which includes a new Ford Mustang Convertible! The National American Miss Pageants are unlike any other. All activities and competitions are kept age appropriate. Girls under the age of 12 are not allowed to wear make-up, and there is no swimsuit competition. The Pageant program is based on inner-beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers and “All-American spirit of fun for family and friends.” Emphasis is put on the importance of developing self confidence, learning good sportsmanship, as well as setting and achieving personal goals.
