We talk a lot about personal property requirements, but I don’t think we talk enough about the actual TIME involved.

Depending on your recovery volume, personal property can literally be a full-time job for one employee. For some agencies, it could easily require 2–3 people or more.

Think about the required steps just to meet client expectations, not even counting the additional protocols many of us have put in place to further protect our companies:

• Inventory
• Proper storage
• Secured property rooms
• Documenting EVERYTHING associated with the property
• Tracking dates of removal, pickup, disposal, and method of disposal

And that’s just the bare minimum.

But what about the property debtors simply don’t want?

I’m not talking about a couple pieces of paper or an empty water bottle. I’m talking about a tote full of personal property, sometimes more, that we are told they do not want and is left behind for us to deal with.

We still inventoried it.

We still documented it.

We still stored it.

We still secured it.

We still scheduled the appointment.

We still had an employee handle the property appointment.

And when the debtor leaves it behind, our work STILL isn’t finished.

Now we have to document what was abandoned, inventory it again as necessary, document the disposal, physically dispose of it, and maintain records showing what happened to it.

Every single one of those steps requires employee time, facility space, security, administrative work, and company resources.

Yet somehow, the expectation is that all of that time has no value.

Time is money.

That’s something we preach constantly in business.

So why is the repossession industry expected to provide this amount of labor, storage, documentation, security, administrative work, and disposal completely free of charge?

Personal property isn’t ā€œjust part of the recovery.ā€

It is an entire process of its own.

And maybe it’s time we start treating it like one.

RECORD BREAKING MONTH! šŸŽ‰

June is officially our best month yet at Advanced Collateral Recovery, and I couldn’t be more proud of this team!

The last week and a half was incredible. Everyone saw we were close to breaking our all-time record, and instead of slowing down, they stepped up. Our office sent amazing leads, our field agents stayed relentless, and together we knocked it out of the park.

This wasn’t one person’s success. It was the result of an entire team working together with one goal in mind. That’s what makes this group so special.

Thank you to every member of our ACR family for your hard work and dedication. I’m beyond proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next!

Our new commemorative shirts are in!

As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, we are proud to recognize the values that built this nation: freedom, hard work, resilience, and opportunity.

For 250 years, Americans have answered the call, overcome challenges, and continued moving this country forward. We are grateful for those who came before us and proud to be part of the next chapter.

Stuck on the side of the interstate with a loaded rollback is never a good day however, there’s a saying that you find out who your real friends are in times of need, and that statement is true, even in business.

Over the past seven years, our business relationship with ATC has grown into something much more than that. The team at ATC has become like family to us, and that support has always extended beyond the personal side and into the professional side of our relationship as well.

True friendship, supporting one another’s small businesses, and genuinely wanting each other to succeed is something that doesn’t come around often. Through the years, we’ve celebrated wins together, worked through challenges together, and continued to stand behind one another when it mattered most.

Thank you for stepping up and helping us today. Your support made a significant difference, and without it, we would have been in a much more difficult position.

We are incredibly grateful for the friendship, partnership, and support you’ve shown us over the past seven years. It does not go unnoticed, and we look forward to many more years of success together.

Big thank you to for hosting a great day at Texas Star!

Team Lauren Kimbrell, John Kimbrell, Will Erin Collie, Josh Hartley managed to place 3rd overall, which honestly surprised at least half the team šŸ˜‚ā›³ļø

Special shoutout to Will and Lauren for both getting Closest to the Pin! Lauren’s shot was officially recorded and while she’s never claimed to be a golfer, that shot may have been just a little lucky with some help from the sand bunker lol.

Great course, great people, and a great time all around. We appreciate DRN putting together such a fun event!

Built it. Branded it. Protected it.

Our company name.
Our logo.
But most importantly… our acronym: ACR.

If you know us, you know ACR has never just been letters on a truck or a logo on a shirt. It means something deeper. It represents our why.

ACR came from our kids, Avery, Cooper, and Rayna.
And Avery? She didn’t suggest it, she claimed it. She was set on ACR being hers. To the point where, if we didn’t use it, she was ready to start her own repo company with that name.

That stuck with us.

Because what started as a child’s idea turned into something real. Something strong. Something that has done nothing but grow, evolve, and flourish.

So yes, we trademarked it.
Not just to protect a business, but to protect the meaning behind it.

ACR is more than a brand.
It’s family.
It’s legacy.
It’s a reminder of why we started and who we’re building it for.

And this is something we will always fight for.
Protect it.
Stand behind it.
And carry it forward the right way.

Because ACR isn’t going anywhere.

Another great day spent with our partners at Manheim Nashville!

Huge thank you for hosting such a fun and well put together Carrier Appreciation event. Brittany Nichole Pendergrast (Transport Manager), Anthony Blackwell (rollback driver), and Lauren Kimbrell(VP) had a great time representing ACR.

Good food, good music, great conversations and of course, a little friendly competition (shoutout to the girls for taking the co****le win šŸ˜‰).

We don’t take these moments for granted. Strong partnerships are built beyond the day-to-day, and we’re grateful to be part of it. Looking forward to what’s ahead!

We jumped on the AI caricature NARS poster trend this year and had a little fun with it.

The Advanced Collateral Recovery crew heading to NARS 2026:
John Kimbrell, President
Lauren Kimbrell, Vice President
Will Erin Collie, Director of Operations
Avery Kimbrell, Boss in Training

This year is a special one for us.

When we made the decision to change our company name, it was inspired by Avery. She wanted a repossession company named after her and her siblings one day… a company she could grow into and eventually operate. That moment stuck with me.

During this year, Avery will turn 13. That’s a milestone birthday I wasn’t willing to miss. But as leaders in this industry, missing NARS wasn’t an option either.

So we decided to do both.

We’re bringing Avery along to Orlando so she can experience a real work conference, see the day-to-day of what we do, and most importantly, witness the relationships that are built in this industry. And at the same time, we’ll get to celebrate her birthday in Florida.

This will also be William’s first NARS and his first large conference, which makes it even more exciting.

We’re looking forward to introducing them to our clients, colleagues, and friends.

Be sure to welcome them this year.

Safe travels to everyone and we’ll see you in Orlando.
