Adopt Buttercup Hi, I'm Buttercup, the cutest, sweetest pittie in the world! (even If I do say so myself) Help me find a home by liking my page and sharing my posts. Hi! S.

My name is Buttercup and I'm available for adoption through Animal Rescue Foundation in Mobile, AL. I've had a pretty interesting life so far; some good and some not so good...but when I think back to the night ARF saved my life, it makes most of the bad stuff go away. Do ya'll remember when Mobile was hit with the ice storms back in January? Anyway, the gang at ARF were so worried about all the d

ogs like me who lived outside that they started a huge campaign to help us out. They delivered blankets and kennels to people who would agree to bring their dogs in during the cold weather and they helped as many dogs as they could. It was amazing from what I hear and I think ARF was responsible for getting around 150 dogs in out of the cold during that time. But back to my story... a volunteer was delivering crates when he was contacted by a lady about me. Back then, I lived on a chain in my backyard. I wasn't fed very much so I was really skinny and I didn't even have a dog house. I also had a terrible skin condition, so I had almost no hair. All those things added up to one BIG thing - I would not have survived the night outside in the cold. I remember how weak I was that night and while we were all waiting for the nice man to arrive, the other people were throwing bread over to me. I kept falling down trying to get to it because I was so very weak. I think I was too much trouble with my skin condition and maybe my owners didn't know how to take care of me; but whatever the reason, that was my life back then. Anyway, the nice man finally showed up and I saw him talking to the other people who had called him about me. He called some other people with ARF and I'm not sure exactly what happened; but this is what I do know - the nice man and ARF literally saved my life that night. Riding back to the ARFanage in the man's truck was like a dream. It was so warm and he was so nice. When I got to the ARFanage, they put me in my very own room and gave me FOOD and BLANKETS and TOYS! All I could think was if this is a dream, please don't wake me up! Lots of things have happened since then. The people at ARF fixed my skin condition and now I have all my hair back. I'm also no longer skinny. Life is definitely looking up for me but what I really want more than anything is a family to call my very own. I LOVE people, kids, babies and other dogs. I don't have a mean bone in my body but because some people look at my breed as distrustful, it's lowered my chances for adoption. So that's where you come in! I have my own page now because I want people to read my story and get to know me. I'll be posting lots of updates and more stuff about me, so please ask all your friends to 'like' my page. Hopefully, my forever family will see it soon and come adopt me. Love, Buttercup

Hi fans, Buttercup here. Since this page helped me find my forever home, I wanted to share some of my friends back at ARF who need a place to crash for the holidays. You see, ARF has this super program called 'Foster a Lonely Pet for the Holidays'. It's really fabulous because all of us living at the ARFanage get to spend Christmas in a real home. It also gives all the great people who volunteer their time taking care of us a nice long break. It's just for 7 days but it happens this Saturday and I heard they still have several dogs who haven't been chosen. Please help us out by sharing with your family and friends. We're counting on our human friends to come thru for us like they always do. Email [email protected] for more info!

Hi friends, it's me... Buttercup! Sorry I've been away for so long. I've been busy spending time with my new FOREVER FAMILY! That's right, I have the perfect new family that promises to love me forever. I even have a brother named Bullet! He's a very special pup - he came from ARF too! He was rescued from the tornado destruction in Cullman, AL in 2011. Mommy says I can come visit my ARF friends at the ARFanage but I can't stay there anymore! Thanks to all of my friends who have taken care of me and loved me - I finally have my happily ever after! Love, Buttercup

I would like to wish my little friend, Sissy, good luck as she leaves on a trial run with a great family today. Like me, Sissy came to ARF without all her hair. Unlike me, ARF's medical teams says her hair will probably never grow back completely. She had so many fleas and inflamed skin for so long that her hair follicles (ya'll didn't know I knew such fancy words, did ya?) were damaged. Sissy doesn't let a few bald patches hurt her self esteem though. She's tiny, but full of pizazz!

Faithful fans - I'm taking a break from posing for pictures, but here's one of my buddy and roommate, Grimm. He loves snuggling up to watch a good game. He wants his future family to know that he doesn't mind rooting for Bama if they're Crimson Tide fans. His one true loyalty will be to his people, so give this great guy a chance!

Facebook fans: you might have noticed all these cute pics I'm always posting and what a good poser I am. That's cause they have a toy box in the photography room at the ARFanage and lots of treats! I'd love to have my very own toy box and treat jar in my very own home. So keep sharing my posts, faithful fans!

Hey guys, it's me again. Unfortunately things didn't work out with me and the family's cat. I'm back at ARF but I did make some new friends and had a very exciting day. Anyway, please keep sharing my page, story and pics. I know my family is out there waiting for me, I just know it.

''I'm cute. Now, gimme all your candy!"

The preparations for Woofstock continue here at the ARFanage. It's been explained to me that the cuter the costume, the more treats ya get. So, how cute am I? Cute enough to get adopted this Halloween??
