I haven’t had real jet lag in years, and it’s not luck.

What changes is the agreement underneath it all, that no matter how rough it gets, you’re both still rowing. That’s 32 years for us, and counting.

If your first thought is “wait, don’t you do this for a living,” you’re right.

And that’s exactly why I hire someone else for my own major trips.

I still share the ideas, the must sees, the non negotiables. I just don’t want to be the one chasing confirmations and figuring out transfers while I’m supposed to be relaxing.

Even a travel agent wants to feel like a guest on her own vacation.
