Bread basket to handbag?⠀

Yes! That's how the Panera straw bag was designed!⠀
Panera is the word used in Spanish for bread basket. ⠀

Mocana Tribe artisans were used to weaving an array of products for home and decorative items, not handbags or jewelry. So one day, we saw the bread baskets and thought of the possibility to put two together and add some kind of handle to make it a handbag, and that's how this style was born. ⠀

Hand in hand with the artisans, we are inspired by their creations, and using a lot of their own designs, techniques, and traditions, we innovate to develop modern statement pieces together.⠀

De canasta para pan a cartera?⠀

Sí! Así fue que se diseñó la cartera de palma que se llama Panera, de ahí su nombre.⠀
⠀
Los artesanos de la Tribu Mocana estaban acostumbrados a tejer una variedad de productos decorativos y para el hogar, no carteras o joyas. Así que un día, vimos la canasta para pan y pensamos en posibilidad de unir dos y agregar algún tipo de manija para hacer una cartera, y así fue que este estilo nació.⠀

De la mano de los artesanos, nos inspiramos en sus creaciones, y usando muchos de sus propios diseños, técnicas y tradiciones, innovamos para desarrollar juntos piezas modernas que marcan un estilo.⠀
