YouTube Membership Tier Being Created
** Long winded post incoming**
In the next day or two I'll be launching a membership-based weekly livestream on my YT for $7/month.
Why?
Short answer- to teach...
Long answer- well, I want to teach people who don't know, but want to know, how to install/customize/anything lightsaber related.
My 46th birthday was yesterday and it got me thinking- what kind of mark would I like to leave in this hobby that I've loved for years? Lots of installs? Cool but no. The answer was helping more people get into it.
I recently left Smuggler's Outpost and more recently relinquished all admin and moderator privileges I had across various lightsaber groups so that I could get back to the basics of why I'm even here- which is just simply to help further people's love for sabers... along with my own.
Over the course of the last 7 years I've been asked lots of questions and I've tried to help where I could, but I'd like to focus on that once a week going forward.
The $7 a month is small enough to have little impact on one's wallet, but significant enough to know if you paid that then you're really interested in learning.
The first stream/week of every month will be getting together for an hour and chopping it up/catching up or meeting everyone and at the end I'll let everyone suggest topics. I'll pick 3 topics a month that we dive into (1 for each remaining week on the month) and I'll give as much info as I can with walkthroughs and answering questions with examples.
The following month we'll do it again. Each one will be at least an hour but likely more. I'll share where I get my parts, who I do business with/who I don't... just personal preferences. We can walk through chassis designs in Fusion, common parts I like to stock and a tips and tricks I use for not taking forever to do a commission. Laser engraving, machining, weathering, etc.
I'm thinking every Sunday evening for now.
