In August this year, the BBC confirmed that Top Gear is returning to our screens, not sure of exact date but the news was official.

In November 2022 I was invited to bring the Ferrari F50 to Dunsfold for a Top Gear production - featuring classic sports and supercars from three decades, the 1979s, 1980s and 1990s. Was a great experience and some iconic cars but sadly the episode never aired as the series was cancelled. Super excited to learn a few weeks ago the BBC confirmed the show’s return. Will be fascinating to see who they have to lead the show, the release did confirm the STIG is returning.

Enjoy a few of the cars from that cold wet November day. My fav (apart from the F50 of course 😍) was the rare and very cool SWB Audi Sport Quattro ❤️

Pinchworthy moment - looking down at the Ferrari F50, roof off and fresh from its meticulous work at DK - while the stunning second of the 19 F40 LM’s built is made ready and goes out. Maybe it was the gorgeous weather and glorious Dunsfold setting (c/o DK Engineering’s) but the 1980s-early 2000s era was just so special? 🐎❤️

A screaming 458 Speciale at what looks like Zhuhai International Circuit in Guangdong Province, China via The acoustic result that high-pitched metallic scream from the 4.5L naturally aspirated V8 is properly sharp. The vid looks real as there’s consistent track architecture, stable plate characters, and actual tyre water displacement. We’ve traditionally looked to US and Europe specialists for exceptional high-end systems but the capability coming out of manufacturers in China is pushing into that tier. That said clips under wide-open throttle are one thing; long-term durability is another. Keen to know if anyone here has direct experience with Vulcan’s systems? Has anyone actually imported or used one? What’s the reality on cost, logistics/supply lead times, and how the welds and thermal management hold up over heavy track miles? 🤔

I adore this Ferrari, next month will be the start of my 27th year with the 550 Maranello. The start of a wonderful journey that’s far from finished. I’ve attempted to out into words (yes using ai translation) my tribute to her in Italian (I hope there’s no hallucinations 🫣😂). Evo Magazine best summed up the Ferrari 550 Maranello in its frequent “For and Against” listing review of all supercars, their answer for the 550 Maranello comprised just two words: “(For) Everything, (Against) Nothing”. Couldn’t agree more 🐎💎🇮🇹

Up close to this incredible Ferrari F40 LM a few months ago at Dunsfold. 760hp and 1050kg dry. The monumental presence and extreme performance of this automotive masterpiece, belonging to one of the best collections on the planet. I was like kid with my jaw fully dropped. Masterpiece 🐎❤️

Perfect Sunday morning recently Merlin McCormack impeccable Brentford HQ hosting Hypra Lusso with a stunning line-up of hypercars and supercars. I decided it was the ideal opportunity to give the Ferrari 458 Speciale a big run, perfect weather too. It’s so nice to see the community with their cars out and about, enjoying first-class hospitality, great driving and fun times. Car passion ❤️💯

He’s got this thing about Ferrari and the cars, the F40 is tops but now F50 is back he’s not seen it yet 😳, let him enjoy (under supervision!) or begin to cool his jets? Tbh I’m in the former not latter camp, bad influence or not? 🐎😍🤪

This Ferrari F40 left the factory in December 1988, she will soon celebrate her 38th birthday, an early 7 series car, non cat, non adjust, and more exciting to drive than ever, I acquired her in late 2011 - I’d always wanted to add an F40 but what pushed me to pull the trigger was taking delivery earlier that year of a brand new 599 GTO. Why did the GTO push me? It was so bonkers mad, so visceral, the desire to live an F40’s driving experience became overwhelming - fast forward to today, the F40 didn’t just meet expectations, it absolutely crushed them - and to think the Ferrari F40 was unveiled in Maranello on 21st July 1987, more mesmerising, more incredible than ever 🐎❤️🇮🇹
