🐃 YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — WOW! 🏔️
🏔️ A WILDLIFE ENCOUNTER WE’LL NEVER FORGET! 🦬💛Joseph Mealey (July 30th to August 6th, 2026)
Our stay at KOA West Yellowstone was definitely one for the books! Yellowstone completely blew us away. It is SO different from any of the other national parks we’ve visited so far on this journey. 🌲🏔️🦬
One of the absolute highlights was getting up before sunrise and heading to Lamar Valley. Trust me… GET THERE BEFORE SUNRISE! 🌅 We literally had hundreds of bison surrounding the truck and walking right along the road. It was one of those moments where you just sit there and take it all in. 🦬🦬🦬
We also spotted elk in Hayden Valley, which was another incredible wildlife experience. Yellowstone is home to an amazing variety of wildlife, including bison, elk, bears, wolves, moose and more. Seeing these animals in their natural habitat is something you just can’t fully appreciate until you’re there. ❤️
🌋 And then there are the geysers and geothermal wonders! We saw so many incredible formations, but Castle Geyser was our favorite. Watching that eruption surrounded by Yellowstone’s landscape was absolutely unforgettable.
💦 We also made our way to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, with its incredible canyon views and multiple waterfalls. The colors, cliffs and rushing water were breathtaking!
And of course, we had to explore West Yellowstone. Downtown had some great little shops and places to wander around. If you’re there, I HIGHLY recommend the Buffalo Bar — great food, great staff and definitely worth stopping in! 🍔🍻
Yellowstone is truly unlike anywhere we’ve been. It’s not just one thing that makes this park incredible — it’s the combination of wildlife, geysers, waterfalls, canyons, mountains and geothermal activity all packed into one amazing place.
Another national park checked off our list! ✅🏞️
And we’re just getting started… ❤️🚐
