Saltbox Primitive Candles Purveyors of primitives, highly scented candles and fundraising Saltbox Primitive Candles was started in 1996. I was cold, tired and starting to get frustrated.

It started in my basement just playing around with wax and scents. My husband took the candles, loaded them in my truck and told me to go out to some gift shops and see if they would like to buy them. He told me not to come home until I sold something, but I knew he wasn't serious. So I set out on that cold January day... The first couple of shops I went to had already spent their budgeted amount

for candles. I called home and asked my husband if I could give up and come home. He asked "Did you sell and candles yet?" I replied with "No." He told me " No, keep trying, Don't give up!" The next shop I went to was called Family Creations. I parked the truck and prayed, " Father God, this is Your candle business if you want it. I need a sale or I am going home. God, do with it what You want." I went into the store and met with the owners and showed them my product. Right there on the spot they purchased $1,000 worth of candles! My next stop, they purchased $250 worth of candles! And from there this business has grown! Today we are now a family business with my daughter and 3 daughter in laws helping me!
