Cheddar-The Big Cheese

Cheddar-The Big Cheese Cheddar was pulled from a slaughter truck on 1/10/14, skinny, scared and very much in need of a miracle. He is a lovely boy!

Follow Cheddar-a 15.3hh Arab x on his journey from slaughter bound to superstar. We expect him to recover with few complications and can't wait to see what he knows! Cheddar has proven over and over that he is a very reserved horse and does not give his trust away easily. He tries hard and aims to please, but you can tell he always has the underlying fear that he will be yanked out of this place

that does not feel like home yet. With time and patience, we expect him to come around and realize he is here to stay. Horse slaughter is in ALL communities, whether they are near the border or not. These horses are often subjected to being hauled up and down the coast, until a full load is achieved. In addition, Canada pays more but will not take skinny, lame, sick or Grey colored horses so those automatically get sent south. I'm not sure where Cheddar came from, but I know he came a LONG way and was happy to land here! :-)
