Two months back in America after living in Italy for 3.5 years and apparently I’m still adjusting 🙃

I still want to say “grazie” instead of thank you. I’m confused why everyone is actually following the rules when they drive. I forgot how FREEZING every building is because the AC is always blasting. And don’t tell the Italians, but I missed American pizza and iced coffee. 😂

The biggest surprise, though, has been watching the kids adjust. They’ve honestly done so well, and Myles especially seems to be thriving at his American daycare. I think the language barrier in Italy was harder for him than I realized.

Moving back has been such a weird mix of missing Italy like crazy while also rediscovering the things I love about being home.

I’m starting to realize you don’t necessarily have to choose one or the other. Maybe home can be two places. ❤️

If you’ve ever lived abroad, what gave you the biggest reverse culture shock when you came home?

JUST BOOKED ✈️🏰🇫🇷🇳🇱🇬🇧

My clients are heading on an incredible European adventure through Disneyland Paris, Paris, Amsterdam & London!

We’re talking Disney magic, iconic Paris sights, Versailles, Amsterdam canals, Harry Potter, a West End show, and plenty of unforgettable experiences in between.

Multi-city Europe trips can have a LOT of moving pieces, but that’s exactly where I come in. You enjoy the countdown and I’ll help make all those pieces fit together. ✈️

Ready to start planning your own European adventure? Send me a message!

One of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor is getting videos like these from my clients while they’re actually ON the trip I planned for them 🥹🇨🇭

They’re only a couple days into their 15-day Switzerland + Austria road trip and already we have mountain hikes, chairlifts, ridiculously blue lakes and it looks like they’re making friends with the local cows. 😂🐄

After spending months putting all the little details of this trip together, there’s something so fun about watching it actually come to life.

And they still have SO much ahead of them… 👀

We’ve been planning this trip for MONTHS and my clients are officially off on their 15-day road trip through Switzerland + Austria 🇨🇭🇦🇹

And this is exactly why I love custom trip planning.

They’re hiking mountain ridges, riding funiculars and cable cars, exploring tiny car-free villages, experiencing a traditional Swiss cattle descent, hiking above insanely blue alpine lakes, seeing the Matterhorn, taking a private Sound of Music tour, spending two nights in Hallstatt… and somehow squeezing even more hiking in between.

But behind all the pretty places are months of figuring out the route, driving times, where to park, trailheads, mountain transportation, reservations and how to make ALL of this actually work together.

Now I’m just waiting for the pictures because at this point, I’m fully invested in their vacation. 😂

Would you do this trip?!

Maybe one of the best parts of having kids is getting to be a kid again. 🥹

I spend so much time thinking about the places I want to take my kids and the things I want them to experience… and then there are moments like this that remind me childhood doesn’t need to be extravagant to feel magical. 🥹🎠

Sometimes it’s just a carousel, sunglasses on backwards, and a belly laugh you wish you could bottle up forever.

These are the good old days. 🤍

Since a lot of you are new here I figured I should properly re-introduce myself.

I’m Kayla 👋🏽 A New Hampshire girl, mom of 3, military spouse, going through an identify crisis since leaving Italy, traveler of 20+ countries, and travel advisor who turned my absolute obsession with travel into a business.

Italy will always have my heart, and Italy + Europe are my specialties, but I also book cruises, Disney, all-inclusives, family vacations, and plenty more.

And one thing I REALLY want more people to know: using a travel advisor doesn’t automatically mean spending more money.

Some trips I can book with no planning fee at all, while more customized itineraries have a relatively small planning fee for the research, logistics, recommendations, and details that go into creating your trip.

My goal isn’t to make you spend more.

It’s to help you spend your travel budget better and hopefully see a whole lot more of the world while you’re at it. 🌎

So whether you came for the America vs. Europe debate, Italy tips, family travel, or just to watch me find my next adventure… welcome! ❤️

And when you’re ready to take the trip instead of just saving it on Instagram, you know where to find me. 😉

Just over here in my feels this Monday morning 😩

One thing we definitely missed while living in Italy? A summer night at Fenway.

We took the kids to a Red Sox game and the kids concourse was almost as big of a hit as the actual game 😂 They got to test out their pitching skills, get their faces painted and meet Wally & Tessie… and, between the meltdowns, we managed to watch some baseball too.

Can’t complain with $22 tickets thanks to the military discount 🙌🏼

Such a fun family night and one of those little pieces of being back in America that I’m really trying to appreciate.

The only casualty of the night? Myles’ ADORABLE Red Sox jacket that we accidentally left in the taxi 😭

Living between Italy and America has definitely taught me there are things I love and miss about both places.

What’s one very “American” experience you’d miss if you lived abroad? 🇺🇸
