Job Description:Pitts Transporting & Manufactured Homes is looking for a dependable and hardworking Manufactured Home Installation Laborer to join our team. This position involves assisting with the setup, installation, and finishing of manufactured and modular homes. Work includes outdoor labor, operating tools, and helping ensure homes are properly installed on foundations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with manufactured and modular home setup and installation

Help level homes and install blocking, piers, and anchors

Assist with skirting, steps, and finishing work

Load and unload materials and tools

Work with crew members to complete installations safely and efficiently

Follow safety procedures on job sites

Requirements:

Must be dependable and willing to work outdoors in all conditions

Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50+ lbs

Construction or equipment experience is a plus but not required (we will train the right person)

Valid driver’s license preferred

Must be able to work well with a team

Pay:Pay based on experience.

Schedule:Full-time position. Hours vary depending on job locations and workload.

Job Title: Manufactured Home Installer

Position Summary:

The Manufactured Home Installer is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality setup, installation, and finishing of manufactured and modular homes. This position involves working with a team to transport, assemble, level, anchor, and ensuring each home meets company standards and HUD standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare home sites by grading, leveling, and installing footings, and blocking systems.
• Safely transport and position manufactured homes using trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Secure homes to foundations using anchors, tie-downs, and other stabilization systems per HUD requirements.


• Inspect installations for compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, and inspectors in a professional manner.
• Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or mobile/manufactured home installation preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and installation manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) not required and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of HUD code and state/local installation standards a plus.

Working Conditions:
• Primarily outdoor work on active construction sites.
• Travel to job sites required; overnight stays may be necessary.
• Work hours may vary depending on project schedules and weather.
