Here’s what’s behind the quote in your inbox: hours of research, options priced and re-priced, resorts compared, every question answered — usually late at night or over a weekend, after my own family has gone to bed. It arrives at no cost to you, and most of the time we’re glad to do it.
It’s also why so many advisors now charge a planning fee. It isn’t a gotcha. It’s asking to be paid for work, same as anyone else.
If you’d rather plan on your own, that’s genuinely fine. But know what you’re leaving behind: exclusive experiences, room upgrades, onboard credit, welcome gifts, VIP touches, and someone in your corner when a flight cancels or the park closes and you have no idea what to do next.
That’s the part you can’t book yourself.
