Dyeing your beloved wrap can be extremely intimidating. Paying a fortune for someone else to do it for you, especially when you just want a simple color change, isn't appealing either. I'm the least patient person in the world and understand not wanting to wait forever for your finished wrap, so I strive for a speedy turnaround. I specialize in solid-colored dye jobs, but depending on

the wrap you choose (double-faced, silk blend, etc) there may still be quite a bit of contrast. I use procion and/or acid dyes (depending on fabric blend) in all of my dye work and wash with Synthaprol and Ecover Delicate. The color will not bleed or fade and is completely safe for your little ones. At the moment I am taking as many custom slots as I can book. Simply message me and we can talk about what you're looking for. As already mentioned, I'm quite impatient and generally dye wraps the day I get them, depending on when the post is delivered and how high-maintenance my kids are being. My goal is to always have wraps mailed back out within 2-4 days, but it could be up to a week if I am particularly slammed with orders. My pricing is as follows:

For solid dyes on cotton/linen/hemp blends:
Stripping: $25 +shipping. Ring slings: $30 +shipping
Size 1-4: $40 +shipping
Size 5-8: $50 +shipping

For solid dyes on silk blends:
Stripping: $25 +shipping. Ring slings: $40 +shipping
Size 1-4: $50 +shipping
Size 5-8: $60 +shipping

For other carrier types (add $10 for silk blends):
SSCs: $50 +shipping
Pods: $50 +shipping
WCMTs/MTs with long wrap-style straps: $60 +shipping

I also offer custom-dyed play silks for $10 apiece. Shipping is a flat $6 whether you are ordering one or twenty!

The time has come for me to close Colored by Cate.

I have loved doing this. Talking with so many of you, seeing your sweet photos, experimenting with new color ratios...I felt honored each and every time you entrusted your precious carriers to me.

That said, my heart is in a different place lately, and while I had intended to return on a reduced schedule, I have come to realize that for the sake of my family, something has to give. That something, unfortunately, is Colored by Cate.

If there is something you need, or you have a question about a carrier I've dyed for you, please don't hesitate to message me. I hope to see some of you around.
