200 years ago, they called Louisville the Graveyard of the West. Yellow fever filled the cemeteries so fast the dead were stacked in mass graves. Later, the river rose and the drowned floated right up against the storefronts downtown. 🕯️
Now, you can ride a haunted trolley through all of it after dark.
For two hours, you'll wind through Old Louisville, the Highlands, and Downtown. You'll hop off to walk the actual streets where a butcher met the gallows swearing his innocence, and peek into a graveyard where the dead were buried in mass pits so full that bodies were stolen from their graves in the dark. You'll hear the tragic tale of the deadliest train wreck in Kentucky history - and pray its passengers aren't still riding with you. And you'll stand outside a luxurious hotel where a woman in blue, murdered long ago, never checked out.
Along the way you'll stop for a spooky cocktail (or mocktail), because you might need it. 🍸
Hop on, if you dare. 👻
