On Oct 10th, 2026, eight planes powered out of LAX—and I’ve packed their takeoffs into under 3 minutes

Which takeoff is your favorite? Turn up the volume and pick your winner!

On October 6, 2026, a Delta A350 clipped an Air Canada 777’s horizontal stabilizer at LAX. Here’s a follow-up: my favorite Air Canada livery parked outside, with the removed section on a trolley, and Delta tucked inside the hangar.

How long until they fly again…

Emirates’ A380 usually departs LAX from Runway 24L, but today she took a different path—taxiing all the way to the south side for a spectacular takeoff from 25L!

Even more unusual, she used 25L rather than 25R, the usual departure runway for passenger planes on that side. Anyone know why?

Whatever the reason, this departure was pure eye candy for plane spotters. How rare is this?

On Oct 6, 2026, Air Canada AC785 and Delta DL7 received taxi instructions at LAX. AC785 requested a “park and tow.” Ground acknowledged; Air Canada stopped. Delta then clipped its horizontal stabilizer.

1. Should Ground have warned Delta?
2. Should the clearance around Air Canada’s tail have been obvious to Delta?
3. Was Air Canada stopped in the right place for the tow?

Your thoughts?

On Oct 7th, 2026, Air France AF25 departed LAX as the evening light faded. Watch her build speed and lift off into the dusk—turn up the volume for those engines.

Filmed with my Sony RX10 Mark V. Let’s see how it handles a big departure in low light. What do you think of the results? #777

On Oct 7th, 2026, I captured Delta DL747, a Boeing 767-400ER arriving at LAX from JFK.

But at around 6:30 PM, another aircraft took off from runway 24L and flew directly across the setting sun, creating this incredible silhouette!

Can the aviation community help me identify this mystery plane? #767

On Oct 7th, 2026, Southwest Airlines WN470 departed Los Angeles (LAX) for Sacramento (SMF), and for a few magical seconds, this beautiful aircraft crossed directly in front of the setting sun!

I really hope this video finds the pilots of WN470! You had quite the spectacular backdrop for your departure. If you were flying this aircraft, I’d love to hear from you! #737
