SHE THOUGHT IT WAS ENDOMETRIOSIS – THEN DOCTORS FOUND A CANCER SO RARE IT TOOK 9 ORGANS
Claire's pain started like any other woman's – a suspected endometriosis diagnosis, a routine ultrasound, a waiting list. But when the pain got worse, a simple stool test changed everything. The colonoscopy revealed her appendix was inverted, and the CT scan showed malignant tissue. By May 2025, she was stage four with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, a cancer so rare it's treated in only two hospitals in the UK. The surgery to save her life lasted 10 hours and removed nine organs – including her spleen, uterus, and part of her bowel.
